Dallas @ Atlanta
October 22nd 10:30am
After a faultless pre-season, Dallas Mavericks takes its squad over to Atlanta for a clash against the Hawks as both teams commence their 2021/22 NBA regular seasons.
The Mavericks will look to build on a solid block of practice matches with the most recent of those being a victory against last year’s champion Milwaukee, while the Hawks bring in the momentum two wins to finish their pre-season a high.
Luka Doncic looks a certain starter for Dallas despite missing the final pre-season fixture and will be a focal for the Mavericks as he always is.
Alongside Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr are also likely inclusions after being left out of the squad against the Bucks.
Doncic will be the focus of attention for the Hawks defence with the Mavericks star looking to improve on an impressive 2020/21 season where he averaged a shade over 27 points, eight rebounds and assists per game.
The Hawks, meanwhile, have a generational talent of their own in the form of Trae Young who nearly took Atlanta all the way last year.
Young averaged almost 29 points along with 9.5 assists throughout the Playoffs last season and will be aiming to build on that brilliant patch of form.
A cracking contest between two genuine playoffs contenders and we expect this to be a bucket-for-bucket battle.
Suggested Bet: Dallas Mavericks +2.5 at $1.91
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Dallas +2.5
Leg 2: L. Doncic over 26.5 points
Leg 3: Total points under 225.5
Combined odds = $6
Milwaukee @ Miami
October 22nd 11:00am
Milwaukee will seek to forge ahead with its impressive start to the season when it travels to FTX Arena for a clash against Miami Heat.
The Bucks made a big statement in their win over Brooklyn on Tuesday as Giannis Antetokounmpo buried the Nets with 32 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists during the 127 to 104 victory.
Milwaukee looked at its title-winning best in the 23-point rout and the next test will be to back it up on the road in what shapes as a tricky test against a Heat squad looking to improve after an underwhelming 2020/21 season.
Jimmy Butler will be fit and firing this time around after enduring an injury-plagued 2021, but this still shapes as a daunting first-up task for Miami.
The Bucks held sway over the Heat in 2020/21 taking out the season series 2-1 and they should be able to pinch a win on the road with the Heat still missing Victor Oladipo.
Suggested Bet: Milwaukee Bucks -1.5 at $1.88

Los Angeles Clippers @ Golden State
October 22nd 1:00pm
The Los Angeles Clippers will commence its regular season when it faces an up-and about Golden State Warriors at the Chase Centre.
Intrigue surrounds how the Clippers are going to deal without Kawhi Leonard who is at risk of missing a large chunk of the season after surgery to repair his ACL.
The Warriors also have the advantage of having a sighter under their belt after providing some substance to their impeccable pre-season form by despatching Los Angeles Lakers in a 121-114.
Incredibly, Curry, who he himself said was not at his best, still managed to nail a triple-double (20 points, 10 assists and rebounds) in the win.
Without Leonard, it’s hard to see the Clippers making any in-roads to the competition this year.
Warriors to go 2-0.
Suggested Bet: Golden State Warriors -3.5 at $1.91
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Golden State Warriors -3.5
Leg 2: Total points scored under 226.5
Leg 3: S. Curry over 31.5 points
Combined odds = $4.75
