Warwick Farm and Caulfield Heath are the feature meetings this Wednesday. With competitive fields, and plenty of prizemoney on offer, mid-week racing has never looked so good!
Warwick Farm Race 4
#1 The Creator
The Creator is ready to peak third-up from a spell. Both performances this campaign have been good without scoring, and I suspect he is trained to the minute to peak third-up from a spell. The mile suits at this stage of his campaign, and if the heavens continue to open, I expect his double-figure quote to fold faster than superman on laundry day.
Hovland was good without winning fresh at the track. His record at the trip suits, and he looks healthy and happy with his new trainer. The talented four-year-old meets similar opposition, and he grows an extra leg with some give in the ground. Jumping from another postcode is the primary concern.
Mojave River is ready to peak. Both runs this campaign have caught the eyes of punters, and I suspect he will jump the race favourite if the flood of early money continues. The James McDonald factor must be respected, and the camp are flying as per usual. His record at the mile is the primary concern.
Suggested Bet: The Creator @ $10.00
Warwick Farm RACE 5
#2 Just Flying
Just Flying can play a role, even with luck in transit. The Star gelding arrives in Sydney boasting consistent Brisbane form, and I suspect his best effort here will see him figure in the finish. The 3kg apprentice claim is significant, and he has been specked at a price since acceptances were finalised. His recent winning record is the primary concern, however; he has found a very suitable assignment on Wednesday.
Black Babylon was ok without threatening first-up from a spell. The Night Of Thunder gelding will strip fitter as a result of recent racing, and the step out in trip suits. The predicated soft conditions will suit the rising five-year-old, and I suspect his double figure quote will continue to shorten until the barriers open. Over the odds.
Blacklist is too consistent to dismiss. The Redwood gelding is racing without winning, and I suspect his next victory is just around the corner. The longer trips suits, and his versatility alone puts him into all winning conversations. He tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of a contest.
Suggested Bet: Just Flying @ $16.00
Caulfield Heath Race 5
#8 ROYAL FLARE
Royal Flare has upside and potential for days. The Zoustar gelding has rubbed shoulders with some serious gallopers during the early stages of his career, and he looks extremely well placed in this company. His recent jump-outs should give his supporters plenty of confidence, and I suspect he is trained to the minute for a first-up tilt. Hard to toss!
Delicate Lady will have plenty of fans after producing an eye-catching performance fresh. The Inference mare oozes class, and her record over the short trip must be respected. The inform Jamie Mott is a significant booking, and she will be savaging the line late. Her racing pattern and style always requires an element of good fortune.
Demojo is over the odds. The Denman gelding resumes after a solid summer campaign, and his recent barrier trials looked ominous. The middle gate provides multiple options in the run, and the apprentice claim could prove the winning difference. He meets easier opposition, and he is a must for all broader multiples and exotics.
Suggested Bet: Royal Flare @ $4.00
Caulfield Heath Race 7
#2 Lario
Lario looks well placed. The Epaulette gelding is winning for fun, and the consistent four-year-old gelding is chasing a hat trick of victories. The inform Craig Williams sticks with the big boy, and his early quote has been well received. The drop in distance could prove fruitful, and the current track conditions suit to a tee. The carpark draw is the primary concern.
Didn’t Miss Many was an impressive last-start winner at Ballarat. The apprentice claim could prove decisive, and the D’argento gelding deserves his shot at this level. I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his rivals after a lengthy campaign, and his opening quote has been more than nibbled at. Acid test!
Our Lone Star is coming off a forgive run. The Magnus gelding is racing better than it suggests in the bible, and I suspect he can run a drum at a decent quote. The Brad Rawiller factor must be respected, and the middle gate is ideal. Take on trust!
Suggested Bet: Lario @ $7.00
