The racing week comes to a close to a Sunday meeting at Bendigo.
All the best bets from the eight-race card have been targeted and the crew have honed in on a first starter who looks good each-way value in the first on the program.
Bendigo Race 1
#5 Queen Latifa
A beautifully bred two-year-old filly by Pride of Dubai out Evening Glitter who has produced four winners from her five racing foals to date.
She has been given fairly quiet jump outs throughout the last two months to get her ready for her debut effort.
Her most recent effort was a fourth-place finish over 800 metres at Cranbourne where she was not really asked to do much until the last 150 metres.
Liked the way she was making up ground without much of an effort and suspect in the smaller field, she will position herself nice and handy to the leaders in the run.
This is clearly a target race for her given she qualified for the extra prize money under the VOBIS Gold Scheme.
Expect her to be wound up and ready to sprint fast.
Suggested Bet: Queen Latifa each-way at $8.5 the win and $3.5 the place.

#10 first division
Henry Dwyer obviously has a high opinion of this juvenile horse after debuting her at Caulfield at her first start.
She raced over 1100 metres and found her opposition a little bit too sharp on that occasion, but has since been tipped out for a spell and looks to have come in great nick.
She left the gates cleanly in her November 22 jump out over 900 metres at Ballarat but was immediately restrained to settle behind the leading bunch.
Love the way she pierced her way through the field as the gaps opened up in the straight and she was idled to the line under a very tight grip to finish a close second.
Her stride after the post was still very strong and she in front her rivals by at least a length about 100 metres past the post.
Looks like she is ready to go bang upon resuming.
Market will be a key guide to her chances, but expect her to firm when we get closer to the jump.

Bendigo Race 6
#1 A Good Yarn
A Good Yarn looks the likely leader in this race and control the tempo out in front as he pleases.
The drop back in grade looks to suit him well even though he creeps up in the weights and has to carry 62.5kgs.
That should be offset by his ability to get a soft lead and then kick off the bend.
He has not been able to get his way to the lead in his first two runs this preparation due to an abundance of speed drawn around him.
We can have an each-way bet at the price.

#9 More
More is ready to make it two wins in a row after a sharp victory at Tatura last start.
She surged to the front in a sign that she is now developing into a genuine race horse.
The stable has opted to keep her in the same grade and while she may rise up in the weights, she only goes up 2kgs for a dominant two-length win.
She will get the perfect run in the box seat from barrier one and can be coiled up to save her sprint for late in the race.
