Canterbury Park and Caulfield Heath are the feature meetings this Wednesday. With competitive Benchmark racing at both venues and plenty of prizemoney up for grabs, mid-week racing has never looked so good!

Canterbury Park Race 5

#2 Cormac T

Cormac T is ready to win. The Nathaniel gelding produced an improved effort at his latest outing, and he looks well-placed in this company. The 3kg apprentice claim is advantageous, and the drop back to 1900m could prove the winning difference. The carpark draw is the primary concern.

Tajanis will have supporters after producing a consistent campaign to date. The Australia gelding is knocking on the door, and I suspect his next victory is just around the corner. Barrier three is a leg-up, and he will eat up every inch of the longer trip. He needs to put another win on the board.

Maximum Dividend will start favourite after a dominant first-up victory at Wyong. The American Pharoah gelding can springboard off his maiden romp, and I suspect he has more upside and progression than his rivals. The significant jump in class is the primary concern.

Suggested Bet:  Cormac T @ $4.00

Canterbury Park RACE 7

#4 Accredited

Accredited resumes after a string of impressive barrier trials. The All Too Hard gelding traditionally performs well fresh, and I suspect he will get the run of the race from the perfect inside draw. The 1100m is ideal first-up, and he has been well supported since acceptances. Hard to toss!

Shines performed well in a hot-form race at his latest outing. The Dream Ahead gelding strips fitter, and I suspect he will appreciate the significant drop-in class. He will occupy the box seat throughout from barrier four, and if he sees clean air as they run for the judge, I expect him to fight out the finish.

Zaragoza is over the odds. The Street Boss gelding was an impressive last-start winner at Kembla Grange, and he should be rock-hard fit after a lengthy campaign. He has been specked at a price in early betting, and I suspect his quote will continue to shorten until the barriers open. He possesses a sharp turn of foot and is a must for all broader multiples and exotics.

Suggested Bet: Accredited @ $3.20

Caulfield Heath Race 6

#3 Frenchmans Bay

Frenchmans Bay can run well at the cricket-score odds. The Helmet mare caught the eyes late at Ballarat, and she looks well placed meeting similar opposition. From barrier five she can sit in the one out one back position, and if Declan Bates presses the go button at the right time, she can upset her more fancied rivals.

Divine Thoughts is racing extremely well at present. The So You Think mare tasted success at Moonee Valley at her latest outing, and with the right run in transit, she can continue on her winning ways. The carpark draw and allocated weight are among the primary concerns.

Dane On Tour was good without winning at Sale. The Rebel Dane mare will appreciate the step out in trip, and she traditionally performs well at this stage of her campaign. The talented six-year-old will have many supporters and is simply too consistent to pot. Her racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Suggested Bet: Frenchmans Bay @ $19.00

Caulfield Heath Race 7

#2 Think Winning

Think Winning can run well at juicy odds. The Exceed And Excel gelding is running better than his form suggests in the bible, and the 3kg apprentice claim could prove a training masterstroke. Barrier one puts him into all winning calculations, and I suspect this event has been a long-range target from his camp. Ready to peak!

Ruminate has plenty of upside. The So You Think gelding has been running well against better opposition, and I suspect he will thrive, dropping back sharply in grade. The step out in trip looks ideal at this stage of his campaign, and there has been a flood of money for the big boy since markets opened. The carpark draw is his biggest obstacle.

Delivering had excuses in a similar race at Geelong. The Justify gelding can roll forward from the inside draw, and I suspect he will pilot the field with a clean break from the barriers. The 1500m looks ideal after a consistent preparation, and if he can dictate the tempo and clock throughout, he can lead his rivals a merry dance. He has the ability of finding one or two better on race day.

Suggested Bet: Think Winning @ $13.00
