Sale Tips & Previews, Friday 7th July

Sale hosts Friday racing as the Punter's Prince finds all the best bets, tips and selections ahead of a big weekend of racing.

A tricky card unfolds at Sale on Friday as the Punter’s Prince picks his way through the best bets.

We are preparing ourselves for a heavy track and it will be a bit of a sit and watch with regards to how the track plays.

Treading cautiously with the confidence ratings is a safe play given the conditions.

sale race 1

#10 kintsugi belle

She has raced quite greenly at her two runs this campaign, but she definitely has the talent to break maiden grade.

Resented being well back in the run and on the rail on a heavy track at Cranbourne without a strong enough fitness base.

She is much better set up here and the longer straight should suit her.

Suggested Bet: Kintsugi Belle each-way at $7.5 the win and $2.25 the place.

Confidence Rating: 3/10

sale race 2

#9 miss subtly

Playing this race with caution.

Miss Subtly looked quite zippy at her jump outs at Cranbourne.

She seemed to handle the wet ground quite comfortably as she strode through the line without exerting too much energy.

Bred to a fast horse and Grahame Begg is a jet at getting his two-year-old horses to run well early in their careers.

Suggested Bet: Miss Subtly win at $3

Confidence Rating: 5/10

sale race 3

#1 i'm innocent

I’m Innocent showed great improvement at his last start despite not winning on Pakenham synthetic over 1100 metres.

Has a solid fitness edge over most of this field, which will hold him in good stead.

Should be able to hunt up on the rail, hold a spot and then show a turn of foot in the latter parts of this race.

Suggested Bet: I’m Innocent wi nat $4.2

Confidence Rating: 5/10

sale race 7

#7 opportunity lost

Opportunity Lost chased a hot speed at Ballarat last start and just felt the pinch when only being second up into his campaign.

He lacked the fitness to be able to cope with such a high-pressure event and will be much better off for it in this run.

Has the sustained speed to win with the rise in distance and will be climbing over the back of the leaders from the inside gate.

Suggested Bet: Opportunity Lost win at $3

Confidence Rating: 6.5/10

sale race 8

#8 regal azmon

Charged to line when winning his maiden race over 1400 metres last start and did so with a leg in the air.

It was the win of a horse who can easily progress through the grades and the wide barrier might actually suit him a touch better than being clammed up like he was last start.

Suggested Bet: Regal Azmon each-way at $5 the win and $2 the place.

Confidence Rating: 5/10
