Hawkesbury and Seymour are the places to be this Wednesday. With competitive racing expected at both venues and healthy local crowds predicated, find out below who our experts are tipping to take home the cash!

Hawkesbury Race 5

#1 Nomorenightshift

Nomorenightshift is racing extremely well at country and provincial level. The Denman gelding has won four out of his last five assignments and deserves his shot at this level. The 2kg apprentice claim puts him into all winning conversations, and barrier one gives him every chance to record a breakthrough city victory. The step-out trip is advantageous, and he is a rock-hard fit. Take on trust.

Zarizatycoon is a progressive five-year-old Zariz gelding. His recent form reads incredibly well for this event and looks well-placed in this company. The 1400m is in his wheelhouse, and the inside draw gives the talented Mikayla Weir multiple options in transit. The market support indicates another bold performance is on the cards, and he can measure up here if he sees clear air as they run for the doctor. He will be thereabouts.

Pluckten is ready to peak. The Pluck gelding is racing better than it reads in the bible, and he strips fitter after his recent outings. Dropping back significantly in grade will suit the enigmatic four-year-old, and the 1.5kg apprentice claim could prove the winning difference. An improved run is expected, and his best performance could blow away his rivals. He tends to find one or two better on race day.

Suggested Bet: Nomorenightshift  @ $3.10

Hawkesbury RACE 6

#2 Just In Time

Just In Time looks extremely hard to beat. The Justify mare was good first-up without winning at Randwick, and she finds the perfect second-up assignment on Wednesday. She meets easier opposition, and she is ideally drawn in barrier three. The 1400m is ideal at this stage of her campaign, and the tsunami of early money is ominous. She needs to put another victory on the board.

Canny Queen can capitalise if the favourite has an off-day or experiences traffic issues. The Ace High filly showed a sizzling turn of foot to score at Newcastle, and I expect her to go through her grades successfully during the coming months. From barrier five, she will sit midfield with cover, and if she is presented with her run at the right time, she will figure in the finish.

Oh Golly Gosh will have supporters after producing two teasing runs for the current preparation. Her record on her home track must be respected, and she is a 1400m specialist. The rising eight-year-old is tough and crafty, and with even luck in transit, she will make her presence felt late. Too honest and consistent to dismiss.

Suggested Bet: Just In Time @ $1.80

Seymour Race 6

#1 Arizona Activist

Arizona Activist is racing well at present. The Written Tycoon gelding draws a perfect inside barrier, and he meets familiar opposition. His last start effort at Pakenham was pleasing, and I suspect he is ready to produce a peak performance for the campaign on Wednesday. If he brings his race-day manners, he will be incredibly hard to toss!

Gee Kristie is over the odds. The lightly raced All Too Hard mare looks talented, and I suspect she has plenty of improvement to come for her current preparation. She strips fitter after her recent first-up heroics at Moe, and she deserves her shot at this level. A must for all broader multiples and exotics.

Smokey Warrior can run a drum at the cricket score odds. The Warrior’s Reward mare was good fresh without threatening, and her record second-up must be respected. 1200m is her pet distance, and she is ideally drawn in a middle gate. Her racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Suggested Bet: Arizona Activist @ $4.80

Seymour Race 8

#4 Hughes

Hughes resumes first-up for his new stable. The Russian Revolution gelding traditionally motors fresh, and his best performance here could be fences and panels better than his rivals. 1400m is in his wheelhouse, and I suspect he will get a gun run from the perfect inside draw. The 3kg apprentice claim strengthens his case further, and I expect his quote to shorten significantly before the barriers open.

The Mighty Spar can challenge at a juicy quote. The Savabeel gelding is ultra-consistent, and he finished his last campaign with a string of victories. His recent barrier trials have been ok, and I suspect it may pay dividends to watch for any significant market support. I would prefer to promote his chances over further and deeper into his campaign.

Anilla is too honest to dismiss. The Valentia gelding caught the eyes of punters late at Sandown, and I suspect his next victory is just around the corner. He will appreciate the longer trip, and he looks the class runner of the field. His best performance here would put one hoof on the till, and if he is saved for one last sharp run when the whips are cracking, he will play a role in the finish. His recent winning record is the primary concern.

Suggested Bet: Hughes @ $4.80
