Warwick Farm and Sandown Lakeside are the places to be this Wednesday, with competitive fields and strong prize money on offer.

Warwick Farm Race 5

#3 Mr Miller

Mr Miller looks the best bet on a tricky and competitive meeting. The Almanzor gelding has turned heads recently at the jump-outs, and I suspect he will be cherry ripe for his first-up assignment. His debut campaign was impressive, and the form around him has stood up time and again. His opponents may be racing for the minor end of the prize!

Phantom Major will have plenty of supporters after producing a successful preparation to date. The Snitzel entire looks talented, and I suspect there is a massive engine under the bonnet. The Chris Waller polish will play a role, and he has been well supported since acceptances were issued. Major danger.

Island Dream is over the odds. The Divine Prophet mare is racing better than it reads in the bible, and she finds a winnable assignment on Wednesday. The current track conditions suit her to a tee, and I suspect she has the fitness edge on the majority of her rivals with several runs under her belt.

Suggested Bet: Mr Miller @ $1.80

Warwick Farm RACE 6

#4 Valilee

Valilee is building an impressive career record. The lightly raced six-year-old Adelaide gelding has had plenty of issues over the journey; however, he is very capable when sound. He finds a suitable race after a long layoff, and he meets inferior opposition. The middle gate is ideal, and his opening quote has been crunched. If the big boy is ready first up, this could be a demolition job.

Fierce is a speed machine. The Capitalist gelding motors early in his campaigns, and he is undefeated at the trip. His recent jump-outs have been rock-solid, and his opening quote has disappeared quicker than last week’s pay. The appointment of Tyler Schiller could prove decisive, and the camp are flying at present. In the mix!

Generous Harry can run a race at a price. The Harry Angel gelding will appreciate the significant drop in grade, and he meets easier opposition. The 2kg apprentice claim is advantageous, and his double-figure opening quote has been more than nibbled at. Can figure with even luck in transit

Suggested Bet: Valilee @ $3.50

Sandown Lakeside Race 4

#2 Giggenbach

Giggenbach is knocking on the door. The Ocean Park mare is always thereabouts, and she finds the right event to breakthrough on Wednesday. Her exposed form reads well for this event, and she has been heavily supported in most all-in markets. The 2100m is ideal at this stage of her campaign, and she enjoys getting her toe into the ground. She tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of a contest.

The Devil In Her is racing well without success in higher grades. The Sebring mare is a seasoned veteran, and her best performance here could prove fruitful. The big girl grows an extra leg in the wet, and the yard are training winners for fun at present. She races well at the trip, and she has performed well on the circuit several times. Her racing pattern and style always requires an element of good fortune.

Champagne Jenni is ready to win. The National Defense mare finally finds a suitable trip, and she meets the usual suspects. Her record on rain affected tracks must be respected, and her pilot is in career best form. The camp are flying at present, and I suspect this event has been a long-range target. The wide gate, and her recent winning record are among the primary concerns.

Suggested Bet:  Giggenbach  @ $3.20

Sandown Lakeside Race 6

#14 Gold Chariot

Gold Chariot looks ultra-talented and progressive. The Circus Maximus gelding put his rivals to the sword a long way from home at Pakenham at his latest outing, and he deserves his shot at this level. The mile suits at this stage of his campaign, and I suspect he has further improvement to come. Blake Shinn retains the ride, and I expect him to jump in the red if the flood of early money continues. Hard to toss!

Emperor Tzu is a model of consistency. The Maurice gelding was good without scoring last start at Flemington, and this assignment looks more winnable. The Ciaron Maher polish must be respected, and I expect his quote to continue to shorten until the gates open. The 3kg apprentice claim is advantageous, and he can figure with even luck in transit. Jumping from a different postcode is the primary concern.

Komito is over the odds. The Lope De Vega entire is racing well in lower grades, and he deserves his shot at this level. The apprentice’s claim helps his plight, and he finds his pet distance on Wednesday. There has been healthy market support at a price early doors, and I suspect the punters will gravitate if the heavens continue to open. He will need plenty of luck jumping from another suburb.

Suggested Bet: Gold Chariot @ $2.50
