Warwick Farm and Caulfield Heath are the feature meetings this Wednesday. With Christmas on our doorstep, and with quality racing at both venues, mid-week racing has never looked so good!

Warwick Farm Race 4

#2 Cosmonova

Cosmonova is resuming after an impressive winter preparation. The Zoustar mare looks well-placed in this company, and her recent barrier trials have been ominous. The inside draw is advantageous, and the 2kg apprentice claim puts on hoof one the till. Hard to toss!

Iron Will is one classy customer. The Panzer Division gelding is winning for fun at present, and he deserves his shot at this level. Barrier one should allow the big boy to roll forward and control the tempo, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of the field. Too consistent to dismiss.

Russian Snitzel resumes with an air of expectation. A recent barrier trial performance put the writing on the wall for a fruitful preparation, and she has been specked at a price since acceptances. From the awkward gate she will push forward and take up a forward position, and if she can find the bunny early, she may prove hard to run down. The class rise is the primary concern.

Suggested Bet: Cosmonova  @ $4.20

Warwick Farm RACE 7

#3 Up To Mischief

Up To Mischief caught the eyes of punters first-up at Canterbury. The Written Tycoon mare strips fitter and her record second-up must be respected. She strips fitter after her recent outing, and I suspect she will lead them a merry dance from a perfect inside draw. She will look the winner as they swing for home!

Slinky will have supporters after producing a consistent preparation to date. The Autumn Sun mare is rock-hard fit, and she finds a winnable assignment on Wednesday. The enigmatic four-year-old is perfectly drawn, and the Rachel King and Bjorn Baker combination must be respected. Her winning record is the primary concern.

Ragga Ragga was good without winning fresh. The Toronado mare always runs well at the track, and the step out in distance looks ideal at this stage of her campaign. The astute camp are producing winners on an hourly basis, and I suspect she will start race favourite if the early market support continues. The awkward barrier is her biggest obstacle!

Suggested Bet: Up To Mischief @ $4.00

Caulfield Heath Race 6

#2 Another Nephew

Another Nephew can win fresh at a decent price. The Sizzling gelding produced an outstanding winter preparation, and his recent barrier trials should have him cherry-ripe for a first-up tilt on Wednesday. He will appreciate the significant drop-in class, and his best performance here could be fences and panels better than his rivals. Over the odds!

Juja Kibo makes his Australian debut. The Belardo gelding gets a gurnsey with the premier stable, and his previous form in Ireland reads extremely well for this Benchmark 64 event. From the carpark draw he will drift back and watch the result unfold, and if he can stay in touch with the peloton during the middle stages of the race, he can loom to win. I would prefer to promote him over further and deeper into his campaign.

He’s Godspeed can run a drum at cricket-score odds. The Divine Prophet gelding has been ultra-consistent this preparation, and he looks suited to the longer trip at this level. He traditionally performs well after a freshen-up, and I suspect the heath circuit will suit his racing pattern and style.

Suggested Bet: Another Nephew@ $16.00

Caulfield Heath Race 7

#3 Social Conscience

Social Conscience is poised to strike. Both runs this campaign have been good without winning, and he gets his chance to breakthrough meeting easier opposition. The inform Craig Williams could ride a broomstick to victory at the moment, and the flood of early money for the Capitalist gelding indicates another bold showing. The one to beat!

Street Elite is racing well without winning. The Street Boss gelding keeps finding one better on race day, and he is starting to become expensive to follow. The Ethan Brown and Robbie Griffiths combination will attract further market support, and I suspect he will occupy the box seat throughout from a perfect inside draw.  He may need some luck to get off the dulex as they run for the doctor.

Macedonian Marvel is ready to explode third-up from a spell. Both outings this spell have been teasing, and I suspect he has been trained to the minute for this event. The step out in trip plays into his favour, and I suspect he will pilot the field with a clean break from the barriers. The class rise and winning record are among the primary concerns.

Suggested Bet: Social Conscience @ $3.50
