#1 Decalogue
Decalogue suffered a rare defeat at his latest outing. The Extreme Choice gelding wasn’t given the best direction throughout, and I suspect the yard will have him cherry ripe for redemption on Saturday. The inside draw puts one hoof on the till, and the 3kg apprentice claim could prove decisive. Too classy to pot, and I expect him to return to the winners’ circle with even luck in-transit.
Kings Reflection has turned heads this campaign to date. The Royal Meeting gelding is racing in fine style, and he deserves his chance in this line-up. The form around him reads well for this event, and I suspect he will jump a pronounced favourite. The class rise is his biggest challenge.

#1 Cosmic Crusader
Cosmic Crusader is an intriguing runner. The big boy arrives in Victoria up and about, and the camp have found a winnable assignment fresh. The Maurice gelding has turned heads at the trials, and the inside draw puts him into all winning conversations. His first-up form is exceptional, and his opening quote has been more than nibbled at. He looks the likely pilot on paper, and his yard are in career best form. Acid test!
Watchme Win was good without threatening at his latest outing. The Harry Angel gelding strips fitter as a result, and I suspect this is his main assignment for the current preparation. The middle gate provides a menagerie of options in the run, and he I suspect the 1200m is his favourite trip. He tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of a contest.

#3 Prince Eric
Prince Eric represents great each way value. The Time Test gelding was an impressive last start winner at the heath over 2000m, and he meets the usual suspects on Saturday. The inside draw could prove fruitful, and the 1.5kg apprentice claim puts him into all winning calculations. His racing pattern and style always requires an element of good fortune.
Makdane is too consistent to dismiss. His exposed form is elite, and he looks extremely hard to beat. The Craig Williams factor could prove the winning difference, and there has been a tsunami of money for the big boy early doors. Jumping from a different postcode is the primary concern.

Caulfield Race 9
#2 Cruiserweight
Cruiserweight has upside and progression for days. The Hello Youmzain gelding put his rivals to the sword a long way from home, and he looks extremely well placed here. The 1400m looks ideal at this stage of his campaign, and he has been smashed in early betting. Only bad luck in running will stop his winning streak from continuing. The real deal!
Celtics is the main danger to the favourite. The I Am Invincible gelding should be rock-hard fit after a lengthy campaign, and I suspect he is edging toward his next victory. He maps to get a beautiful run in-transit, and his best here is good enough to taste victory. Will play a role inside the final stanza.

#10 Zoufame
Zoufame is a model of consistency. The Zoustar gelding has turned heads this preparation, and his camp are training winners for fun at present. The middle gate is ideal, and the pilot could ride a broomstick to victory at present. The big boy is ready to peak, and he finds a winnable assignment. Big watch!
Sir Les has made a successful start to his racing career. The inside draw suits, and the All Too Hard gelding deserves his shot at this level. He strips fitter as a result of recent racing, and he looks ultra progressive. This is his hardest test to date, however; he could be special.

Royal Randwick Race 8
#10 Narbold
Narbold is overdue for a victory. The Churchill gelding is always thereabouts, however; he tends to find one or two better during the fourth quarter. He finds a very winnable assignment on Saturday, and the James McDonald factor is significant. The Chris Waller polish will play a role, and his opening quote has been specked. Ready to rock ‘n’ roll!
Electric Impulse is another galloper who is edging closer to his next win. All runs this campaign have been good without winning, and I suspect he will jump the race favourite if the flood of early money continues. The current track conditions suit to a tee, and I expect him to produce a peak run on Saturday. Acid test!
