#3 Oakfield Duke
Oakfield Duke looks well placed in this company. The Into Mischief gelding was an impressive winner two starts back, and he was game in defeat at his latest outing. He looks dangerous after a little freshen-up and a perfect inside draw brings him into all winning conversations. The current track conditions are advantageous, and I expect his quote to shorten significantly before the barriers open. Hard to toss!
Yasuke can give a good sight for the punter’s first-up. The enigmatic Maurice gelding has won previously fresh, and his recent string of ominous barrier trials should give his rivals sleepless nights leading into this event. The Nash Rawiller and Chris Waller combination must be respected, and there has been a flood of early money for him since markets opened. His recent winning record is the primary concern.
Craving Magic is a model of consistency. The Rubick gelding has won four out of his last five appearances and is undefeated at the trip. He comes to town at the right time of the year, and if he can continue to improve, he can cause a major boilover. The significant class rise is his biggest obstacle.

#1 The Creator
The Creator is flying at present. The Wrote gelding is chasing a hatrick of victories, and with even luck in transit, I expect him to continue on his winning ways. The 3kg apprentice claim could prove the winning difference, and he looks ideally drawn in barrier five. The tough Victorian will lead the field a merry dance, and if he left to his own devices throughout, the race could be over before patrons return to their seats.
The Little Pumper is ready to strike. The Shalaa gelding has been racing well without winning, and I suspect his next victory is just around the corner. From barrier one I expect him to occupy the box seat throughout, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority on his rivals. His ability to always find one better is the biggest deterrent.
All In The Mind savaged the line first-up at the track and distance. The lightly raced five-year-old caught the eyes of punters late, and I suspect he entered most battlers’ little black book. The current track conditions are advantageous, and if the rain continues to fall in Sydney town, I expect him to start favourite. His racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Sandown Hillside Race 6
#7 He's Beset
He’s Beset is racing well at present. The Darci Brahma gelding was a brilliant winner fresh at Caulfield, and he was only beaten by a smart one in the shadows second-up at Sandown. The drop back to 1300m could prove fruitful, and the Blake Shinn and Nick Ryan combination must be respected. He can camp behind the leaders from barrier two, and if he sees clear running before the final furlong, I expect him to figure in the finish. Too consistent to pot!
Miso was an impressive last-start winner. The Fighting Sun gelding deserves his shot at this level, and he has been specked at a price in early betting. He traditionally races well at this stage of his preparation, and if he can find the front during the early stages of the race uncontested, he may prove hard to run down. The class rise is the primary concern.
Written In Code will have supporters after savaging the line first-up at Mornington. The I Am Invincible mare looks suited to stepping out to 1300m for the first time, and her camp is training winners for fun. It may pay dividends to watch for any further significant market support.

Sandown Hillside Race 7
#3 Rattle And Bang
Rattle And Bang can run big race at a decent price. The Unencumbered gelding doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and I suspect he is ready to produce his peak performance for the campaign. His record at the distance is outrageous, and the 3kg apprentice claim brings him into all winning calculations. His overall winning record is the primary concern.
Mawallock looks under the odds. The Trust In A Gust mare was good without threatening fresh, and I am unsure barrier thirteen will make her assignment an easy one on Wednesday. Her best performances have occurred over further, and I am concerned the 1000m maybe too sharp for the talented four-year-old. Happy to take the favourite on!
Etienne finished on the heels of the winner fresh. The Capitalist gelding strips fitter after his recent outing, and he traditionally troubles the scorer second-up. The tenacious front-runner will push forward from barrier six, and if he can find the bunny without entering an early-speed battle, he will be in the mix when they run for the doctor. His fate may be decided during the first furlong.
