Warwick Farm Race 6
#5 Gelatin
Gelatin resumes after two impressive barrier trials. The Snitzel gelding will appreciate the current track conditions, and the talented three-year-old looks dangerous jumping from barrier two. His record at the distance must be respected, and he has been specked at a price in early betting. He looks excellent each-way value.
Huesca will have supporters after producing a consistent campaign to date. The drop in class is advantageous, and the Gai Waterhouse and Nash Rawiller combination commands respect. The middle gate will provide options, and with even luck in transit, I expect him to figure in the finish. The allocated weight is the primary concern.
Convincebility boasts form around some serious gallopers. The Hellbent gelding looks well-placed in this company and is too classy to dismiss. The 1300m is his pet distance, and his versatility puts him into all winning conversations. His recent winning record is the biggest deterrent.

Warwick Farm RACE 7
#7 Nanshe
Nanshe looks over the odds. The Astern mare doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and I suspect she is ready to peak second-up from a spell. Her fresh run was ominous, and the step out in distance looks ideal. The Benchmark 72 shouldn’t hold any fears, and the inform Zac Lloyd has a winning association with the Godolphin prospect. The carpark draw is the primary concern.
November Falls can run a drum at cricket score odds. The Sacred Falls mare savaged the line fresh at Kembla Grange, and she strips fitter after her recent outing. She performs well on all surfaces, and the current heavy conditions will play in her favour. From barrier six, she will roll forward and pilot the field, and if she can control the sectionals throughout, she will be there when the whips are cracking. The step up in grade is her biggest obstacle.
Emmadella was good first-up without winning. The All Too Hard filly put the writing on the wall for a good preparation, and she finds her pet distance on Wednesday. If she can take the next step up in grade on Wednesday, I suspect she can upset her more fancied rivals. Her racing pattern and style will always require an element of luck.

Sandown Hillside Race 4
#6 Nova Lights
Nova Lights was a brilliant last-start winner at Bendigo. The Lean Mean Machine filly put her rivals to the sword a long way from home, and she put the writing on the wall for a fruitful campaign ahead. The drop back to 1300m could prove the winning difference, and she deserves her shot at this level. From barrier eleven, she will aim to sit midfield with cover, and if she doesn’t cover too much ground during the race’s early stages, I expect her to prove too strong for her rivals late. Hard to toss!
Spirit Of Nurai will have supporters after producing a successful debut campaign. The Spirit Of Boom filly resumes with an air of expectation, and there has been an avalanche of money for the enigmatic three-year-old since markets opened. She is too progressive to dismiss, and I expect her to go through her grades successfully during the coming months. I would prefer to promote her deeper into the campaign over further.
Fine Rebel is a must for broader multiples and exotics. The Rebel Raider mare is ultra-consistent and always looms to win at the pointy end. The 3kg apprentice could prove a training masterstroke; she is no stranger to this class. The 1300m is well short of her preferred distance, and I suspect she may need the run. Watch for her late hitting the line hard!

Sandown Hillside Race 6
#1 Scorsese
Scorsese looked good when winning at Cranbourne at her latest outing. The Written By gelding led his rivals a merry dance throughout, and the fat lady was singing before he had entered the final furlong. From barrier four, he will take up his favourite role on top of the speed, and if he is left to his own devices throughout, he can continue on his winning way. The 3kg apprentice claim puts him into all winning calculations, and his double figure quote has been nibbled at early doors. Over the odds!
Grand Larceny has impressed punters at both career starts. The Zoustar colt raised eyebrows recently at the barrier trials, and he looks poised to strike here after a little freshen-up. The 1000m is ideal at this stage of his preparation, and if he can avoid an early speed battle, the race may be over a long way from home. The step up in grade is the primary concern.
Mantua is ready to win. Both runs this campaign have been good without winning, and I suspect the Fastnet Rock gelding has been trained to explode third-up from a spell. Barrier one will allow the big boy to have a soft run in-transit, and if Michael Dee can get the favourite off the dulex as they run for the doctor, he will prove hard to hold out. He may struggle to find oxygen as they swing for home.
