Rockets vs. Heat

Few would have predicted any run of form for Houston this season as one of the projected bottom teams with some prized draft picks on offer. But as it stands, they have won three of their past four games – claiming the scalps of Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Phoenix, if you don’t mind. They have built quite a home-court advantage, and with Jalen Green making the Rockets his team, there are more exciting times to come.
They face an inconsistent Miami side that lacks offensive firepower. Tyler Herro is the only Heat player posting decent scoring stats, with Jimmy Butler on the wane. Kyle Lowry has been poor and will struggle against Houston’s exuberant backcourt. Look for the Rockets to continue their winning ways here.

Grizzlies vs. Bucks

Milwaukee made a strong statement with its win over Golden State and reminded everyone it might well be the best in the East come playoffs. Khris Middleton has shaken off his recent injury woes, while Giannis Antetokounmpo is back to his dazzling best. He has an excellent current record against the Grizzlies and could be worth keeping an eye on here.
Memphis has quietly won its past six games and is sitting in the second position in the west while some more prominent name franchises fade around them.
Their leader Ja Morant should be back for this one in what looms as a decent test of how big a star he has become. Tyus Jones has risen up the ranks of Morant’s supporting cast and should also play a big part in the continuing Memphis surge.

Jazz vs. Pelicans

Utah looked to have arrested its recent form slump with a comprehensive win over New Orleans on Wednesday, but it could be a different story in the second part of the doubleheader.
Zion Williamson may have more in the tank after his 26-point game for the Pelicans and could go all out against a Jazz team struggling to find the rhythm of its early season. Brandon Ingram is set to be sidelined for a bit longer, but New Orleans has the depth to cover him for at least a bit longer.
For Utah, Lauri Markkanen and Malik Beasley are playing increased roles and should be set for another significant contribution. The market for this one would have been largely framed by the blowout in favour of Utah, which means the Pelicans should be presenting some value here.

Clippers vs. Suns

The Clippers remain a mystery, losing relatively easy games to minnows and winning over title contenders. The win over Boston should give them some belief, with Kawhi Leonard possibly playing his best game since returning from injury.
With 25 points and nine rebounds, Leonard troubled the much-vaunted Celtics all night and should carry that good form into this game.
Paul George has also been relishing having his partner in crime back and will be a tough match-up for the Suns.
Phoenix has a few issues at the moment, with five consecutive losses seeing them plummet to fourth on the western conference standings. DeAndre Ayton and Cameron Payne may be injured, joining Devin Booker and Cameron Johnson on the sidelines. It’s a brutal hit, and the Suns are starting to look brittle just as the Clippers heat up. Look for this one to go to Los Angeles.
