Warwick Farm and Caulfield Heath are the feature meetings this Wednesday! With plenty of value on offer and competitive racing expected at both venues, find out below who our experts are expecting to take home an early Christmas present!

Warwick Farm Race 5

#2 Bestower

Bestower is knocking on the door. The Contributer mare is racing extremely well without winning, and I suspect her next victory is just around the corner. The step out in trip suits, and the middle gate provides the inform Tyler Schiller a menagerie of options. The consistent five-year-old should be rock-hard fit after a lengthy campaign, and she looks well placed in this company. Her recent winning record is the primary concern.

Black Babylon is flying at present. The Night Of Thunder gelding is chasing a hatrick of victories, and he meets the usual suspects here. The versatile four-year-old handles all track conditions, and I suspect his racing and pattern style will suit the tight turning Warwick Farm circuit. The early money tells a significant story, and Tom Sherry has a successful and winning association with the enigmatic galloper. He can win again.

War Ribbon can run a drum with even luck in-transit. The Calyx gelding is racing better than the form guide suggests, and he finds a very winnable assignment on Wednesday. The current track conditions suit to a tee, and the 2400m is in his wheelhouse. He comes in extremely well under the weight scale, and his opening quote disappeared quicker than last weeks’ pay. He needs to notch up another victory.

Suggested Bet: Bestower @ $3.00

Warwick Farm RACE 6

#13 Tequila Baby

Tequila Baby was an impressive last start winner at Canterbury. The four-year-old Capitalist mare looks super progressive, and she deserves her shot at this level. The perfect inside draw is advantageous, and the 1.5kg apprentice claim puts her into all winning conversations. She looks the likely leader on paper, and if the Brad Widdup galloper can find the bunny uncontested during the early stages of the event, the fat lady maybe in full voice as they run for the doctor. The 1200m suits, and I suspect she has further improvement to come for the current campaign. Hard to toss!

Livin’ Thing resumes after a string of impressive jump-outs. The Yes Yes Yes gelding was super reliable during his winter preparation, and he is a first-up specialist. An inside draw puts him into the mix, and the form around him has stood up time and again.  His camp are training winners for fun at present, and I suspect he will occupy the box-seat and receive the run of the race throughout. He may need some luck getting off the dulex as they cut the ribbons.

Confess Our Dream is over the odds. The Shalaa mare will appreciate the significant drop in class, and the 3kg apprentice claim throws the Raygun among the pigeons. I suspect she has the fitness edge on the majority of her rivals, and she finds her pet distance on Wednesday. She will roll forward from the awkward alley, and if she can cheat the clock throughout, she may upset her more fancied rivals. A win here would fill her supporters with more confidence.

Suggested Bet: Tequila Baby @ $5.00

#3 Touchdown

Touchdown is scoring for fun at present. The Almanzor gelding has built a near perfect career record to date, and the big boy looks extremely well placed to continue on his winning ways. The progressive four-year-old has been crying out for the longer trip all campaign, and he is a winner at the track previously. He has been hammered in most all-in markets, and I expect him to jump well into the red. The key appointment of Luke Currie is significant, and the camp are going from strength to strength. The one to beat.

Fiorenot is a model of consistency. The Fiorente gelding has finished on the heels of the winners at his past two outings, and I suspect he has been trained to the minute for his third-up assignment. The 1800m is ideal at this stage of his campaign, and if he can stay in touch with the peloton during the middle stages of the event, he can make his presence felt late. I am unsure if the Caulfield Heath circuit is advantageous for his racing pattern and style.

The well named Lady Potato Head can run a drum at a double-figure quote. Her win two starts back at Pakenham was first-class, while her latest effort at the track was good without threatening. The inside draw helps her case, and the 3kg apprentice claim must be taken into consideration. The longer trip is the unknown, however; she can lead the field a merry dance if she is left alone to her own devices. Over the odds!

Suggested Bet: Touchdown @ $2.30

#1 Empire Of Pain

Empire Of Pain Is racing well at present. The Justify mare has hardly put a hoof wrong this preparation, and I suspect she is rock-hard fit after a lengthy and fruitful campaign. The 1600m suits, and she meets the usual suspects on Wednesday. The Grahame Begg yard have one of the best winning strike rates at present, and I expect the reliable mare to pilot the field with a clean break from the barriers. Her best here should be too strong, and the market support since acceptances speaks volumes. The one to beat.

Naina will have supporters after producing an impressive last-start victory at Mornington. The form out of the race is white hot, and I suspect she can take the next step up in grade here. The Chris Waller factor must be respected, and the talented Beau Mertens retains the ride. From barrier seven she will drift back and find her hooves, and if she is presented with her run at the right time, she can make her presence felt in the shadows. The class rise is the slight query.

On Broadway will have plenty of supporters after producing a consistent campaign to date. The Zoustar mare doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and she was finally rewarded for her effort with a last-start victory at the track and distance. An inside draw puts her into the mix, and the 2kg apprentice claim should give her key rivals sleepless nights leading into Wednesday’s event. Super progressive and well placed by the flying Kennewell camp.

Suggested Bet: Empire Of Pain @ $4.00
