Warwick Farm and the Heath are the places to be this Wednesday. With competitive racing expected at both venues, and plenty of value on offer, find out below who our experts are expecting to take home the mid-week cash.

Warwick Farm Race 5

#1 Cristal Clear

Cristal Clear is winning for fun at present. The Exceedance gelding made it three victories on the bounce at his latest outing, and he looks extremely well placed in this company. The 2kg apprentice claim puts one hoof on the till, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his rivals. His record at the distance is near perfect, and the inside draw will allow him to roll forward and find a prominent position. Hard to toss!

Jamberoo has been trialing exceptionally well leading into his first-up assignment. His fresh record needs to be respected, and he traditionally performs well at the mile. The tough and gritty six-year-old looks the likely leader on paper, and if he is fully wound up for Wednesday’s assignment, he may prove hard to run down. I’d prefer to support his case deeper into his campaign.

Zondee is ready to win. All performances this preparation have been teasing, and I suspect he is ready to peak in this event. The Snitzel gelding will appreciate the significant drop in-class, and I expect him to make his presence felt with even luck in-tranist. His racing pattern and style always requires an element of good fortune.

Suggested Bet: Cristal Clear @ $3.60

Warwick Farm RACE 6

#4 Jellicious

Jellicious is a winning machine. The Snitzel mare is chasing a hat trick of victories, and I suspect she has more upside and progress than her rivals. Her record at the trip speaks volumes, and I expect the Chris Waller factor will attract further late market support. The enigmatic four-year-old handles all track conditions, and she meets the usual suspects. Watch for her late!

Written Scandal was good without winning first-up at Newcastle. The Written Tycoon mare put the writing on the wall for a fruitful spring campaign, and she finds a very winnable second-up assignment. She strips fitter as a result of recent racing, and she finds her pet trip on Wednesday. Over the odds!

Silver Wedding will have plenty of supporters after producing a recent eye-catching barrier trial. The Zoustar mare was rock-solid during her autumn preparation, and I suspect she can springboard into better races moving forward. The key appointment of James McDonald should raise eyebrows, and I expect her to jump the race favourite. She tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of a contest.

Suggested Bet: Jellicious @ $3.60

Caulfield Race 6

#2 Rise To It

Rise To It represents juicy value each way. The So You Think gelding is racing in great heart, and he should be rock-hard fit after a lengthy and successful campaign. The 2kg apprentice claim is advantageous, and I suspect he will pilot the field with a clean break from a perfect inside draw. The 2000m looks perfect, and he will give a good sight at a price. Too consistent to pot!

Makdane hasn’t missed a top-three finish since Essendon won a final. The Impending gelding is always thereabouts, and he has been crying out for the longer trip all campaign. Barrier one will ensure a soft trip in transit, and the inform Craig Williams has a winning association with the talented five-year-old. The big boy may need some luck getting off the dulex as they run for the doctor.

Zambardo will start a short-priced favourite after recording three victories on the hop. The Belardo gelding deserves his chance in town, and he looks to have plenty of improvement to come for the current preparation. The 2000m is the unknown, and this is his hardest test to date. He can win again, however; he looks skinny enough in the market with several big question marks next to his name.

Suggested Bet: Rise To It @ $10.00

Caulfield Race 8

#5 Sunshineinmypocket

Sunshineinmypocket was a good thing licked at Moonee Valley first-up from a spell. The Proisir gelding lost ground at a crucial stage, and he was subsequently beaten in the shadows as a result. He will appreciate the longer trip, which he has previously won at this campaign stage. The bigger Caulfield circuit suits, and the 2kg apprentice claim brings him into all winning conversations. He will need some luck getting off the paint as heads turn for home.

Keep Your Cool is over the odds. The Deep Field mare was a brilliant last-start winner at the track, and the form out of the race has repeatedly stood up. The 2kg apprentice claim helps her cause, and I suspect she will occupy the box-seat throughout from an inside alley. A must for all broader multiples and exotics.

Sabaj has been crunched since markets opened. The Manhattan Rain gelding makes his debut appearance for the Kent and Price yard, and his form from last campaign looks tasty. His career record must be respected, and his recent jump-outs oozed class. I’d prefer to promote his chances deeper into his campaign over further.

Suggested Bet: Sunshineinmypocket @ $6.00
