Canterbury and Bendigo are the feature meetings this Wednesday. With sensational acceptances listed at both venues, find out below who our experts are expecting to take home the mid-week cash!

Canterbury Race 5

#5 Hidden Motive

Hidden Motive resumes after a string of impressive barrier trials. The Capitalist colt traditionally performs well fresh, and he is a 1100m specialist. He handles all track conditions, and he has been heavily supported since acceptances. The 2kg apprentice claim puts one hoof on the till, and with even luck in transit, I expect him to prove too strong late. Hard to toss!

Braveheart is racing well without winning. The I Am Invincible gelding has been thereabouts all campaign, and I suspect his next victory is just around the corner. The form around him is rock-solid, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his rivals. His racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Midnight Dynamite is a proven fresh runner. The Pierata gelding resumes two slashing barrier trials, and I suspect he will be cherry ripe for a first-up tilt. The talented four-year-old is the likely leader on paper and is undefeated at the trip. The camp are training winners for fun at present, and if he can find the bunny uncontested during the early stages of the race, I expect him to figure in the finish.

Suggested Bet: Hidden Motive @ $1.90

Canterbury RACE 6

#4 Miss Trentino

Miss Trentino is chasing a hat-trick of victories. The Per Incanto mare is progressing through her grades successfully and deserves her opportunity in town. The consistent four-year-old is suited by the step out in trip, and I suspect she still needs further improvement for her current preparation. Likely leader who will give another bold showing. Acid test.

Maquisa is a model of consistency. The Extreme Choice mare always looks likely, and she never shirks the task. The drop in weight is significant, and barrier one puts her into all winning conversations. She looks well supported in this company, and there has been a flood of early money for the Chris Waller trained commodity. She tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of a contest.

Quein Step caught the eyes of punters fresh at Newcastle on a bottomless track. The Sidestep mare savaged the line late, and she put the writing on the wall for a successful and fruitful spring campaign. The middle gate suits, and the 2kg apprentice claim makes her second-up assignment slightly more comfortable. The step up in grade is her biggest challenge.

Suggested Bet: Miss Trentino @ $7.50

Bendigo Race 6

#5 Kokako

Kokako has shown plenty of promise during the early stages of her career. The Swiss Ace mare looks well placed in this company, and the perfect inside draw should give her key rivals sleepless nights leading into Wednesday’s event. Her recent jump-outs have been first-class, and I suspect the Jamie Melham factor will attract further market support. Big watch!

Furosshi is racing well without winning. The Street Boss mare was far from disgraced in a hot form race at Sandown, and this looks a very winnable assignment. The inside draw is advantageous, and the current track conditions suit to a tee. The key appointment of Blake Shinn should raise eyebrows, and the early market support has been significant. Her recent winning record is the primary concern.

Happy Tiers was an impressive winner on debut at Kimore. The Ringerdingding mare showed a good turn of foot, and I suspect the camp have a high opinion of the lightly raced four-year-old. From barrier nine, she will slide back and sit mid-field with cover, and if she is presented with her run at the right time, she can remain undefeated. Acid test!

Suggested Bet: Kokako @ $3.60

Bendigo Race 7

#8 Trembles

Trembles looks extremely well placed. The Too Darn Hot mare resumes after a little freshen up, and her form prior in town reads incredibly well for this event. Her recent barrier trials oozed class, and I suspect she will jump in the red. The 1000m is perfect for this stage of her preparation, and I expect her to lead the field with an even break from the barriers. The real deal.

Grinzinger Sun will have plenty of supporters after recording two impressive Flemington jump outs. Her last prep was rock-solid, and champion Craig Williams takes the ride. Barrier three should ensure a soft trip in-transit, and if the gaps appear as they run for the doctor, she will prove hard to hold out. Big watch.

Leave No Doubt is over the odds. The Doubtland gelding was an impressive last-start winner, and he deserves his chance at this level. The 1000m suits, and he has already tasted success at the track. His double-figure quote has been nibbled at early doors, and I suspect his quote will continue to shorten before the barriers open. A must for all broader multiples and exotics.

Suggested Bet: Trembles @ $2.70
