Golden State is one win away from securing the NBA Finals when it heads to TD Garden with a 3-2 series lead against Boston.
On Tuesday, the Warriors skipped ahead after a 104-94 win against the Celtics at Chase Center.
In a game that saw both teams struggle badly from three-point territory, the Warriors did the little things right more often, leading to the 10-point win.
If you were a Boston fan, you probably piffed a remote across the room or tore your hair out throughout stages of game five.
The turnovers for the Celtics were absolutely constant, and their disregard for possession of the ball was borderline negligent.
Jaylen Brown was horrific, and barely a fired a shot from the field.
Jayson Tatum set the unwanted record of most turnovers in a single postseason after his tally of four in game five saw him catapult up to 95 in 23 post-season games for 2022.
It is an area the Celtics must seriously address for game six.
Boston’s offence has also looked shaky, clamped to less than 100 points for two games in a row.
Missing free throws in game five cost the Celtics dearly, having gone 21 from 31 attempts at 67.7%.
It is simply not good enough if Boston wants to turn things around.
We know Ime Udoka’s men are good at responding when the chips down, but this is the most pressure they will be under as a unit.
Lose, and it’s all over.
Expecting a bit of a tentative start from Boston, but once the nerves have settled, we have seen what it is capable of in this series.
A return home, a focus on making the ball their friend and the roar of its home fans.
Celtics to take this all way to a seventh.
