Sunday afternoon football closes out Round 11 of the AFL Premiership season.
Collingwood and Carlton will battle it it out in front of a huge crowd at the MCG as the BetDeluxe crew prepares the best bets for the final three fixtures of the weekend.
st kilda vs. north melbourne
may 29th 1:10pm
The turmoil continues for North Melbourne as it tries to ignore off-field issues in a bid to upset St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.
With pressure on David Noble to get wins and a heap of recruiting staff walking out on the club, the season is free fall.
St Kilda, however, is on the hunt for a top-four spot and hurried away from Adelaide very late in the piece to record a Round 10 victory.
Missing Jack Steele means the Saints lose leadership and a gun midfielder, but they have coped well.
North did pose a slight threat against Melbourne for three quarters before it faded out late in the game.
Saints win and do it efficiently.
Suggested Bet: St Kilda -44.5 at $1.90
collingwood vs. carlton
may 29th 3:20pm
Collingwood and Carlton meet for the 261st in AFL/VFL history as the biggest rivals in the AFL get set for a massive game at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.
The Blue Baggers ranked third on the table after an enormous win against Sydney last Friday, while the Magpies recorded a famous interstate win against Fremantle in wet conditions.
All the early money in this game has come for Collingwood by the truckload, and it does seem to match up okay against Carlton.
The Blues won the last head to head fixture between the clubs in front of an empty MCG in 2021 and have since improved vastly.
There are a few forwards at either end that can cause headaches for the defence of both teams, but it is the midfield of Carlton which sets these two apart.
Blues to cover the line and skip along to 9-2.
Suggested Bet: Carlton -10.5 at $1.90
port adelaide vs. essendon
may 29th 5:20pm
Port Adelaide gets the chance to put a win on the board when it heads into its Round 11 clash with Essendon as the $1.10 favourite.
Ken Hinkley’s men were simply outclassed against Geelong down at Kardinia Park last weekend as it attempts to salvage something in 2022.
Essendon, however, is all but cooked with regards to finals and the questions of Ben Rutten’s tenure at the club keep growing.
With Port starting to get a host of players back from injury, it will put a hole through Essendon in this match.
Suggested Bet: Port Adelaide -33.5 at $1.90
