Warwick Farm and Sandown Lakeside headline Wednesday racing, with competitive fields and strong prize money on offer mid-week.

Warwick Farm Race 5

#3 Hello Captain

Hello Captain was a brilliant winner first-up at the track and distance. The Hello Youmzain gelding is building a decent career record, and I suspect there is plenty of improvement and upside to come for the current campaign. The track conditions suit, and he meets easier opposition. The Chris Waller factor will attract further market support, and I am confident better races await the talented three-year-old. Hard to toss!

Astronomix can resume a winner. The promising three-year-old has trialled exceptionally well leading into his fresh assignment, and I suspect he will be cherry ripe for a first-up tilt. The early market support indicates another bold and forward showing, and his opening quote has received significant support. He can make his presence felt when the whips are cracking.

President can run a drum at a price. The I am Invincible gelding was good without threatening first-up at Wyong, and a recent jump-out turned heads. The consistent four-year-old finds a suitable assignment, and the key booking of Rachel King could play a role deep into the fourth quarter. The inside draw is advantageous, and he is a must for all wider multiples and exotics at the cricket-score odds.

Suggested Bet: Hello Captain @ $3.00

Warwick Farm RACE 6

#2 Cormac T

Cormac T is racing better than the Bible suggests. All runs this campaign have been good without threatening, and a win here wouldn’t surprise. The 3kg apprentice claim could prove a training masterstroke, and the flood of early money tells a story. The middle gate provides a menagerie of options, and his best performance here could prove fences and panels too strong for his rivals. Ready!

Natoya is racing well without winning. The Redwood mare is knocking on the door, and I suspect she has found the right assignment on Wednesday. The step out in trip is ideal, and her record on soft and heavy surfaces must be respected. Her recent winning record and tricky gate are among the primary concerns.

Stay Tuned can run a race at a reasonable price. The Prized Icon gelding is due for a change of luck, and the form around him has stood up time and again. His versatility alone puts him into winning calculations, and a victory here would be a great reward for consistent effort. Over the odds!

Suggested Bet: Cormac T @ $5.00

Sandown Lakeside Race 5

#6 Louis Barthas

Louis Barthas is flying at present. The Zoustar gelding is building a picket fence, and he looks well placed in this company. The big boy makes his debut on Wednesday for the powerful Hayes yard, and his opening quote has been more than nibbled at. His record at the trip must be respected, and the current track conditions suit him to a tee. Yes please!

Impending Link was an eye-catching winner first-up at Caulfield. The impending gelding strips fitter as a result of his recent heroics, and he finds his pet distance. His versatility alone puts him into all winning conversations, and the Craig Williams factor speaks volumes. He can make his presence felt late, even with luck in transit.

Chest Of Gold traditionally performs well fresh. Recent jump-outs have turned heads, and I suspect he will be fully wound up for a first-up tilt. He has been specked since acceptances, and he gets the conditions to suit. He will look the winner as they cut the ribbons.

Suggested Bet: Louis Barthas @ $5.50

Sandown Lakeside Race 7

#2 Cherish Me

Cherish Me is ready to explode. Both runs this preparation have been good without winning, and I suspect she has been trained to the minute for her third-up assignment. The 3kg apprentice claim speaks volumes, and the Ciaron Maher factor should never be underestimated. She looks one of the better bets on a tricky and competitive program.

Ultra Blue can run a drum. The Blue Point gelding is a model of consistency, and he finds a winnable assignment here. I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his rivals after a lengthy preparation, and I expect him to look the winner as heads turn for home. The 1.5kg apprentice claim helps, and he excels in the soft conditions. He tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of a contest.

Camp Cable is winning for fun at present. The Cable Bay gelding is chasing a hat-trick of victories, and the enigmatic four-year-old deserves his chance at this level. The 3kg apprentice claim helps his case, and he his record at the trip speaks volumes. The more rain the better for the progressive galloper, and a win here wouldn’t surprise. Over the odds.

Suggested Bet: Cherish Me @ $5.50
