Melton race 2

#4 KEAYANG NINJA

Keayang Ninja is racing in fantastic form at the moment.

The three-year-old gelding from the Paddy Lee yard has strung together two very nice wins in a row and hits this race with a great fitness base.

He draws a good gate to be able to use his early zip to find the lead in the race.

Hoping his driver Jason Lee can hold the lead with ease and control the tempo of the race.

If Lee can turn it into a war of attrition that is even better, with horse having strong levels of stamina that will hold him in good stead late in the race as the closers try to chase him down.

Suggested Bet: Keayang Ninja win at $4.4

Suggested Exotic: Boxed First Four – 1, 2, 3, 4, 6

melton race 3

#13 Just a bit Touchy

Kate Gath is going to have to be at her absolute best if she is get to Just A Bit Touchy over the line.

This two-year-old filly has oodles of talent, but she is a bit of a headcase as she broke upon trotting in the early part of heat leading into this race.

She was miles off the leaders but still had the audacity to run third.

If Gath can get her away cleanly and keep her within touching distance of the leaders, this race might just very well be all over.

It is a bit risky, but we cannot ignore the talent of this gun filly should be put it all together

Suggested Bet: Just A Bit Touchy win at $2.4

Melton race 6

#11 Major Moth

What a cracking edition of the Breeders Crown Colts & Geldings 3yo final we have.

Major Moth is the horse who looks well placed in this event despite drawing the back row.

His main danger is Act Now who comes up the $2 favourite but does look a little bit vulnerable after a solid enough win in his heat last week.

Act Now needs to lead to win, but there looks to be a lot of early pace inside and outside of him in this event.

Should he not hold the lead, Major Moth has a vicious finishing burst than can used to great effect late in the race if they go hard up front as predicted.

He loves racing at the track with four wins from his six starts and we can be rest assured he will give his all.

Suggested Bet: Major Moth each-way at $6.5 the win and $1.95 the place

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 4, 11/ 4, 11/ Field

melton race 7

#4 bettor twist

No one can deny the brilliance that is Bettor Twist.

She is a horse full of heart and courage as well as an elite level of talent.

What she lacks in early gate speed, she makes up for in her strength and stamina late in her races.

It is another race on the card where they will likely set a breakneck speed out in front early on in the race and it might mean Bettor Twist gets shuffled further back than her drive Anthony Butt might like.

However, he can make a mid-race move on her as they come around the home straight upon hearing the bell to signal the final lap.

She has the fitness to able to sustain a big run should she need to.

Suggested Bet: Bettor Twist win at $2.10

Suggested Exotic: Exacta – 4 & 12
