State of Origin Game Two, Tips & Previews, QLD vs. NSW

Check out the preview and best bets for State of Origin Game 2 between the Maroons and Blues.

State of Origin Game Two heads to Suncorp Arena in what could be a series decider!

Our team has gone through all the best bets for all the popular markets come Sunday night.

head to head

June 27th 7:50pm

The ruins of Queensland will try to be picked at Suncorp Stadium as the NSW Blues travel up North in a bid tie up the State of Origin series for good.

NSW recorded one of the most devastating game one victories in recent history to come away with a 50-6 win after a second-half offensive blitz.

Tom Trbojevic got proceedings underway with a 17th minute try and it was the precursor to a Blue avalanche of tries at halftime.

“Turbo Tom” would end up with a hattrick of tries as the Blues went one up in the three-game series and put themselves in the box seat to return the State of Origin shield into NSW hands.

Maroons star Cameron Munster vouched this week that his mission would be to stop Turbo Tom as well as Nathan Cleary form doing the damage they did last Wednesday.

The only issue is, it is tough for one man to stop one of Trbojevic or Cleary let alone both of them.

The only factor resonating in favour of the Maroons is the home crowd noise but that won’t be enough to stop this Blues team.

Suggested Bet: Tom Trbojevic anytime tryscorer into NSW Blues win at $3 (SPECIAL)

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: NSW -13.5
Leg 2: J. Addo Carr anytime tryscorer
Leg 3: Total points scored under 46.5
Combined odds = $5.75

first try scorer

Josh Addo Carr/Valentine Holmes

We missed the boat last week by ignoring the obvious; Tom Trbojevic first try.

For game two we are going to flirt with danger again and side with Josh Addo-Carr who might get under the guard of Queensland given its declaration that it would focus on stopping Trbojevic and Nathan Cleary.

It should open the door for Addo-Carr to find space in behind the Queensland defensive lines early in the contest.

For the Maroons, Valentine Holmes really looked the only threat from a run and carry perspective in game one.

If he can catch the NSW Blues defence in an early lapse and be spurred on the Suncorp Stadium crowd then he looks like the one to be with.

Suggested Bets:
Josh Addo Carr first tryscorer at $7.5
Valentine Holmes first tryscorer at $13

total points scored

under 46.5

Game one scooted over the 46.5 total points margin set late in the game after a flurry of second-half tries to NSW.

However, Suncorp Stadium has dished up low-scoring affairs in recent times with both states combining for 32 points in 2019, 30 points in 2018 and 28 points in 2017.

There is surely going to be a huge focus on defence for the Maroons given how easy the Blues had it from an offensive point of view in game one.

Expect the home team to tighten up the screws and look to lockdown the charging runs made by the likes of Tom Trbojevic, Josh Addo-Carr and James Tedesco.

Suggested Bet: Total points under 46.5 points at $1.86
