Greyhound Racing Tips

Saturday Night Greyhound Tips & Previews, 1st April

Tips and previews for greyhound racing at The Meadows and Wentworth Park.

It’s the Golden Easter Egg Semi Finals at Wentworth Park and a big card from The Meadow ahead of greyhound racing on Saturday night.

The greyhound team has sliced its way through the cards and honed in on the best bets ahead another great night of chasing.

Green light on, bunny rolls, away we go!

The Meadows Race 2

#3 Drako Bale

Drako Bale is beginning to understand what this racing caper is all about.

His last three runs, albeit without winning, have all been super and would see him winning this race with even luck.

The last time he drew a box towards the inside was actually his first ever win. He drew box two at Geelong over the 460-metre starting point and did a great job to win in a solid time of 25.94.

Since then, he is stepped up to the 525-metre trip at The Meadows but drew awkwardly both times to run into the minor placings.

Get his chance to notch up his maiden Meadows victory here.

Suggested Bet: Drako Bale win at $3.9

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 2, 3/ 2, 3, 4/ 2, 3, 4, 7

The meadows race 4

#8 Eilish

Love what Eilish did last start at The Meadows when drawing box seven and rounding up the leaders to win running away from her rivals.

She is a dog that has shown a liking to being drawn towards the outside boxes and she gets box eight to run to her best again.

Her four starts in the pink rug have brandied two wins and two minor placings and the beauty about this race is that there does not look to be a huge amount of early pace.

She can wind up her gears when the lids open and come across when she desires.

Her 30.15 time over this course and distance was a personal best and if she brings that form to this race it will take a big effort from one of her rivals to knock her off.

Suggested Bet: Eilish win at $4.8

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 8/ 1, 4, 5/ 1, 4, 5

The Meadows Race 8

#1 Weblec Ace

Our best of the night comes in the form of Weblec Ace who boasts a tremendous record at The Meadows.

His 14 starts at track and distance have registered 8 wins and three minor placings but this looks one of the easiest races he has contested in his last handful of starts.

He has run well behind the likes of Air Marshall, Tommy Shelby and Mr Fix It.

That form reference is far superior to anything on offer from his main rivals in this race and with a slashing 29.75 personal best it’s no wonder he comes up a popular elect in this race.

Draws the perfect box to rail up and muster through to lead with his customary early dash and should prove far too good for this lot.

Another winner inbound for the Jefrrey Britton team.

Suggested Bet: Weblec Ace win at $2

Wentworth Park Race 5

#2 Faithy Bale

Have to respect that Fernando Bluey is arguably the hottest greyhound gracing the chasing scene at the moment but he is very short at the $1.90 quote and as such we will settle with Faithy Bale.

She comes out of a race won by the $5 elect in this field, Zipping Kyrgios, whom she ran third to last start after a small gap between runs.

Now, on the week back up, she will be primed to run to her absolute best here and despite being defeated by Zipping Kyrgios, she did start nearly half his price.

Box two does her chances no harm either with seven starts from the white blanket registering four wins two minor placings.

Suggested Bet: Faithy Bale win at $4.4

Suggested Exotic: – Boxed Trifecta – 2, 4, 5

Wentworth Park race 7

#2 WOW

‘Wow.’

That’s exactly what we are saying about Wow right now who has taken the Australian greyhound racing scene by storm.

He, alongside Fernando Bluey, is amongst the best chasers Australia has to offer and his last start win was no exception to that claim.

He ran an incredible 29.38 at this course and distance last start to win by just over five lengths as he continues to go leaps and bounds in his career.

The win made it his 18th from 29 career starts and he looks set to make 19 from 30 in this race.

None of his rivals here possess the mid-race burn he has. Mr Fix It, who has drawn his inside, will likely score up through on the rails and give Wow the saloon passage into the race.

If Wow is able to get a completely clean run in this I would be keeping a close eye on the clock because we are yet to see the ceiling for this dog just yet.

Suggested Bet: Wow win at $2

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 2 & 4
