Euro 2020 Group Stage, Tips & Previews, Tuesday 22nd June

The BetDeluxe team previews the best bets from the group stage of Euro 2020 - albeit a year late!

Concurrent fixtures take place to end Group D action as England takes on Czech Republic, while Scotland meets Croatia.

The best bets for both fixtures are ready to be slammed into the back of the net!

Czech Republic vs. England

June 23rd 5:00am

England seeks to quash the perception of a weak underbelly when it faces Czech Republic at Wembley.

Both teams played out draws on their second match-day to now sit locked at four points each but it was The Three Lions who put in the more underwhelming performance  in their scoreless parity against Scotland.

Gareth Southgate’s men struggled to penetrate a formidable Scottish defence, while Patrik Schick continued his impressive goal-scoring record for in the tournament during Czech Republic’s 1-1 draw with Croatia.

It is mathematically impossible for the Czech Republic to finish lower than third in the group, so the prospect of Jaroslav Silhavy’s men advancing as one of the best third-placed teams is still very much alive.

However, the group leader still has every reason to be optimistic about its chances of claiming an the scalp of the more talented English line-up.

Prediction: Czech Republic 1 England 1

Suggested Bets:
Double chance – Czech Republic or draw at $2.35

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: P. Schick to score anytime
Leg 2: Total goals score under 2.5
Combined odds = $9.5

Croatia vs. Scotland

June 22nd 5:00am

Two sides locked on a point apiece in Euro 2020 Group D prepare for battle at Hampden Park  as Croatia squares off against Scotland.

Croatia was held to a 1-1 draw by the Czech Republic last time out, while Scotland’s goalless stalemate with England felt more like a win for the Tartan Army at Wembley.

A draw in Group D’s other fixture would see Croatia’s result against Scotland pale into insignificance.

There would be no better time for Croatia to end its four-game winless streak in order to progress through what has so far been an underwhelming group phase.

It seems a long time since Croatia was on the verge of World Cup glory in 2018 given the form it is currently in but the class of Luka Modric and Ivan Perisic should be enough to get them a result here.

The only knock is Zlatko Dalic’s poor record since overtaking this team with only two wins coming from his last 11 fixtures in charge.

Kieran Tierney will be a danger on the flanks against this out of form Croatian squad.

If he is allowed to roam free then the Tartan Army could pinch an unlikely result.

Prediction: Croatia 2 Scotland 2

Suggested Bets:
Draw at $3.6
