NBA Playoffs Tips & Previews, Wednesday June 16th

Tips, Previews and all you need for Wednesday's NBA playoff fixtures.

Only one game on Wednesday as Milwaukee take on Brooklyn in an Eastern Conference semi-final showdown.

There are injuries galore but that just provides us with even more value as the best bets side with the NBA championship favourite.

Milwaukee @ Brooklyn

June 16th 10:30am

It is advantage Milwaukee with the series tied 2-2 and a spate of injuries for Brooklyn when the teams meet at Barclays Arena for game five.

In a cruel twist of fate, Kyrie Irving landed awkwardly and twisted his right ankle in Brooklyn’s 107-96 loss against Milwaukee.

Irving will join Harden on the sidelines who has suffered hamstring tightness and missed the last two games.

The load is now left to Kevin Durant and Joe Harris who will be tasked with quelling and beating Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton.

But Steve Nash has proven his ability to pile up wins even without Durant, Irving and Harden throughout various stages of the 2020/21 regular season.

It is what has made this Nets team championship favourite worthy; an ability to win even when their stars are missing.

Add in a return home, where it easily accounted for the Bucks in the first two games of this series and that is the factor that will assist them greatly in their quest for victory without Harden and Irving.

Durant’s 31.3 points per game in playoffs is nothing to be scoffed at and his squad still represent a massive danger to Milwaukee.

Nets look fantastic value in this game despite the glaring omissions.
