Albion Park and Sandown Park host Thursday night greyhound racing.
The best bets from both venues are in with plenty of value to be found.
Sandown Park Race 6
#1 Not happening
Not Happening drew very awkwardly in the squeeze box last start and was always at the rear of the field at the Meadows over 600 metres.
He draws box one on this occasion which should allow him to settle much closer to the speed than he has been at this last couple of runs.
His last win at Sandown came last month over the 515 metres meaning he broke through his first win at the track after six attempts.
He is a powerful chaser who will take a heap of beating in this race and is clearly the one to be with given his strength over this distance.
Suggested Bet: Not Happening win at $3.9
Suggested Exotic: Exacta 1 & 7
Sandown Park race 8
#2 Omega Tyson
Omega Tyson is ready to peak at his third run back from a 91-day spell.
His first-up effort in a G4/5 race over 515 metres at Sandown was respectable despite being beaten by nearly nine lengths.
It was the second-up run which caught the eye after stepping up to 595 metres and showing a bit more toe to run third.
Those two efforts will have him ready to hit the ground running in this race and he should get a nice trail from Empress Tears who will attempt to come across from box eight.
Best of the night from Sandown.
Suggested Bet: Omega Tyson win at $3.9
Sandown Park Race 12
#5 Kayden's Tiger
Going to finish the card at Sandown by taking a complete set against the favourite Weblec Eagle who resumes after 229 days away from racing.
Kayden’s Tiger represents good value here and should arguably much closer in the market to Weblec Eagle.
He will need a little bit of luck from box five but should he get it then he will be a serious winning threat to the odds-on commodity.
Weblec Eagle might have panels on this field from a class perspective but would prefer to see how he returns and happy to back the dog that is fit and firing.
Suggested Bet: Kayden’s Tiger win at $3.4
Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 5/ 1/ Field
Albion Park Race 5
#3 Pokie Payout
Although he might not be in winning form, Pokie Payout is racing well enough to have a bet on him at the each-way price in this race.
He started a $2 favourite in a similar race to last start after drawing a wide box and ran a length behind Tony’s Rescue who comes a much shorter price this time around.
What might be in this favour is the step up to 600 metres.
It should be allow him a lot longer to find clear air and utilise his burning mid-race speed which is what allows to be super competitive.
Tough to see him running, at bare minimum, outside the top three in this race.
Suggested Bet: Pokie Payout each-way at $7.5 the win and $2.15 the place
Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 3, 7/ 3, 5, 7/ 3, 5, 7
Albion Park Race 8
#5 Do It
Do It started a very heavily tried commodity when making his Albion Park debut a week ago but could only manage to run second.
He should benefit greatly from that run given he know has an understanding of what the Albion Park track looks and feels like.
Think he is building back towards that brilliant 29.15 victory from three starts which would probably annihilate this field if replicated.
The only concern for him is drawing box five but we get a good price to see if he can get the luck from the middle lid.
The Britton’s don’t send their dogs up to Queensland just to enjoy the sunshine and beaches.
Suggested Bet: Do It each-way at $7 the win and $2 the place.
