#5 LIGHTNING GLORY
Lightning Glory can return to racing a winner. The Hallowed Crown gelding was rock solid during his last campaign, and I suspect he can reach a new level during the spring. He looks well placed in this company, and the flood of early money tells a story. Likely leader on paper, and I suspect he will look the winner as they run for the doctor.
Money Team is over the odds. The I Am Invincible gelding is racing better than it suggests in the bible, and a win here wouldn’t’ surprise. A recent trial looked ominous, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his rivals. His recent winning record is among the primary concerns.
Super Norwest can run a drum at a decent double-figure quote. The Rich Enuff mare is always thereabouts, and she finds a winnable assignment on Wednesday. The 3kg apprentice claim helps her plight, and her opening quote has been more than nibbled at. Her fate may be decided early from the awkward gate.

Kensington RACE 7
#4 Shotgun Bella
Shotgun Bella has turned heads recently at the jump-outs. The Shooting To Win mare is building a nice career record, and the form around her on the country and provincial scenes has stood up time and again. Her record fresh must be respected, and her trainer has a decent winning strike rate when he comes to town.
Found The Gold was good without winning fresh. The Too Darn Hot filly savaged the line late, and the step out in trip is advantageous. The current track conditions suit to a tee, and she is a must for all broader multiples and exotics. Her racing pattern and style always requires an element of good fortune.
Scenic point will start race favourite after producing an eye-catching performance fresh at Randwick. A trial in between races will have the Written Tycoon mare on point for a second-up tilt, and a tsunami of early money indicates a bold and forward showing. She tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of the contest.

Geelong Race 5
#3 TURBO SAINT
Turbo Saint was a dominant winner on debut. The Zousain gelding put his rivals to the sword a long way from home, and I suspect he can take the sharp rise up in the class here. The inside draw suits, and Ben Melham’s key appointment should raise eyebrows. He looks the good thing on an even and tricky program.
Prince Pienza was strong late in a hot form race at Ballarat. The I Am Invincible gelding strips fitter as a result, and I suspect he is edging towards his next victory. His pilot is in career-best form, and the camp is flying at present. I’d prefer to support his case on top of the ground.
Les Braves can run well despite being asked to carry the grandstand. His exposed form reads well for this event, and his opening double-figure quote folded faster than superman on laundry day. The heavy track, and his racing pattern and style reads well for this event. Over the odds.

Geelong Race 7
#2 BELLA VERONA
Bella Verona has one hoof on the till. The Castelvecchio mare was a brilliant first-up winner at Bendigo, and she meets a similar field on Wednesday. She has been absolutely crunched in most markets, and the inside draw should give her rivals sleepless nights leading into the event. If she sees clear air, she may prove hard to hold out.
Lyrics ‘N’ Song is ready to peak third-up from a spell. The Written Tycoon mare was a resilient last-start winner at Seymour, and she strips fitter as a result. She looks well placed in this company, and I expect her to fight out the finish with even luck in transit. A wet track may be her downfall.
Cobblestone Way is winning for fun at present. The Boulder City gelding doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and he is chasing a hat trick of victories on Wednesday. His double-figure quote looks generous, and he is the class runner of the field. The grandstand weight is his biggest deterrent, however; he will look the winner as heads turn for home.
