Starzintheireyes turned heads first-up from a spell. The Starspangledbanner gelding looks well placed in this company, and his opening quote has been absolutely crunched. The consistent five-year-old has elite exposed form, and he meets easier opposition on Saturday. I expect him to make a name for himself on Saturday.
Mister Rizz is racing well at present. The Lope De Vega gelding is ultra-progressive, and a win here wouldn’t surprise. His camp is training winners for fun, and I suspect him to battle it out with his stablemate as they run for the judge. Acid test!

#1 Guest House
Guest House was a dominant winner of the San Domenico Stakes fresh. The Golden Slipper champion occupied the box-seat throughout, and once he saw clear air, it was all over bar the shouting. The 1400m suits him at this stage of his campaign, and the middle gate will provide him with the ideal run in transit. It looks no harder here, and the tsunami of early money indicates another forward performance. He has the spring at his mercy.
St Gotthard was good behind a flying machine fresh. The Snitzel gelding strips fitter as a result of his first-up performance, I suspect this has been the long-range target from the astute camp. The trip suits, and the current soft track conditions play into his favour. The tricky barrier could be his undoing. Too flashy to dismiss!

Magnatear caught the eyes of punters late first-up from a spell. The Written Tycoon gelding should have troubled the winner, and I suspect the yard has him ready to explode on Saturday. The plumb draw will allow the big boy to conserve energy throughout, and his second-up record is outrageous. The longer trip suits, and his opening quote, have been met with great support. He just needs clear air to figure in the finish. Over the odds!
Skyhook is winning for fun. The Written Tycoon entire is climbing through his grades successfully, and the talented five-year-old has a chance to put his name in lights on Saturday. His versatility alone puts one hoof on the till, and I expect him to jump well into the red. Odds-on look on!

#10 Lara Antipova
Lara Antipova returned to form at Flemington with a bang. The Group 1 winning Russian Revolution filly was slightly disappointing in her first run in Australia, however; her latest performance at headquarters was stunning. She meets similar opposition on Saturday, and the current track conditions suit to a tee. Barrier four provides her plenty of options in the run, and the key appointment of Zac Llyod should give her supporters plenty of confidence. I expect her to continue in her winning ways, with even luck in transit.
Diameter is ready to win. Both runs of this campaign have been good without scoring, and I suspect the Brazen Beau colt is ready to explode third-up from a spell. His second-up performance was luckless, and he meets similar opposition here. The Chris Waller and Jame McDonald combination must be respected, and the perfect inside draw puts him into all winning conversations. Ready to strike.

#5 Changing Colours
Changing Colours is building a picket fence next to her name. The Autumn Sun mare is ultra-progressive, and her last-stat victory was breathtaking. The in-form six-year-old deserves her opportunity to claim black-type, and the punters have gravitated to her early doors. This is the hardest test to date; however, she is up to the challenge.
Sea What I See was blocked for a run at a key stage first-up at Flemington. The Sea The Stars mare went through the line under double wraps, and she motors second-up from a spell. The flashy grey will roll forward from the awkward gate, and if Craig Williams presses the go button at the right time, she can play a role inside the final furlong. Too consistent to dismiss.

#9 Oliveanotherday
Oliveanotherday is coming off a forgive run at Flemington. The Nicconi gelding never handled the straight-six assignment at headquarters, and I suspect he appreciates a bit of give in the ground. He is more suited around a bend, and he drew to perfection on Saturday. His record on the trip must be respected, and his best here could provide his moment in the sun. Acid test!
Beiwacht was a brilliant first-up winner of the Group 1 Memsie Stakes. He performs well second-up, and his pilot could ride a broomstick to victory at present. The Bivouac entire looks the likely leader on paper, and he has been heavily supported since acceptances. His record at the elite level over the distance is the primary concern.
