Royal Randwick Race 7

#2 Ice Kool

Ice Kool looks hard to toss! The Zoustar gelding was an easy first-up victor, and the big boy strips fitter as a result of his recent heroics. The talented three-year-old oozes class, and he meets the usual suspects. The odds-on quote looks more than generous, and there has been a tsunami of money since fields were finalised. Clearly the one to beat!

Big Red Tequilla can cause a boil over. The Shamus Award mare chased home a smart one at her latest outing, and she strips fitter as a result of recent racing. Her second-up record is rock-solid, and the current track conditions are advantageous. Her racing pattern and style is the biggest detterent.

Suggested Bet: Ice Kool @ $1.90

Royal Randwick Race 8

#5 Romeo's Choice

Romeo’s Choice can run a drum at a price. Both runs this campaign have been ominous, and he finds the right race on Saturday. The 2kg apprentice claim could prove a training masterstroke, and he is ready for the longer journey. The yard are in rare air, and he will make his presence felt at the pointy end of the contest. Over the odds!

Bustling is knocking on the door. All runs this campaign have caught the eyes of punters, and he finds his ideal conditions. The longer trip suits, and he has been well supported in most all-in markets. His recent winning record and the carpark draw are among the primary concerns.

Suggested Bet: Romeo’s Choice @ $23.00

Cool Jakey is flying at present. The Pierro gelding was a resilient last start winner at the track over 1300m, and he deserves his shot at the Listed level. The seven-furlongs suits at this stage of his campaign, and he should be rock-hard fit after a lengthy and fruitful campaign. The wetter the better for the big boy, and the Pride yard are flying. The awkward draw is the primary concern.

Midnight Dynamite will have plenty of attention after producing a solid preparation to date. The Pierata gelding is motoring at present, and he deserves his position in this line-up on Saturday. The featherweight is advantageous, and he has been heavily supported in most all-in markets. Dismiss at your own peril!

Suggested Bet: Cool Jakey @ $6.50

Ipswich Race 7

#4 Belvedere Boys

Belvedere Boys has one hoof on the till. The Maurice gelding has been savaging the line all campaign, and he finds a winnable assignment on Saturday. I suspect he has been trained to the minute for this assignment, and the camp are training winners for fun at present. He will make his present felt at the pointy end of the contest.

Encoder is a model of consistency. The Encryption gelding is always thereabouts, and I suspect he is ready to explode over the longer trip. The inside draw is advantageous, and he has been well supported in most all-in markets. He may need some luck getting off the dulex as they run for the doctor.

Suggested Bet: Belvedere Boys @ $4.00

Ipswich Race 8

#9 Boomtown Boss

Boomtown Boss is racing better than it suggests in the bible. The Spirit Of Boom gelding has been luckless at key stages during his preparation, and he looks extremely well placed in this company. The step out in trip is advantageous, and his opening quote has folded faster than superman on laundry on. Jumping from Eagle Farm is the biggest deterrent.

Regal Zeus is over the odds. The Zoustar gelding was near faultless during the summer and autumn, and his Victorian form must be respected. His best performance here could prove fences and panels better than his rivals, and his jump-outs leading into his fresh assignment have been ominous. The grandstand weight is the primary concern.

Suggested Bet: Boomtown Boss @ $6.50

Ipswich Race 8

#16 Silver Wedding

Silver Wedding looks the best bet on a tricky and competitive program. The Zoustar mare ultra-impressive fresh, and she deserves her chance at this level. I suspect she has more upside and progression than her rivals, and the Ciaron Maher factor must be respected. The 1200m suits, and the 53kg is luxurious. Acid test!

Naifah will have plenty of supporters after a consistent campaign to date. The I Am Invincible filly was too classy two starts back, and she was game in defeat at her latest outing in a hot form race. She loves the journey more than an Uber driver, and I expect her quote to continue to shorten before the barriers open. The awkward barrier draw is her biggest obstacle.

Suggested Bet: Silver Wedding @ $4.20
