Nuggets vs. Heat
13th June 10:30am
The Denver Nuggets are in arm’s reach of their first-ever NBA title as they attempt to close out their Finals series against the Miami Heat.
Leading 3-1 heading into Game 5, the Nuggets have dominated the series to date, with a 13-point victory on Saturday making it two wins in Miami.
While their two stars, Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, continued their strong form with a double-double each, it was Aaron Gordon and Bruce Brown Jr who stepped up with 48 points between them. Gordon was particularly impressive with a game-high 27 points from 11 of 15 shooting and 3 from 4 beyond the arc.
Jimmy Butler (25) and Bam Adebayo combined for 45 of the Heat’s 95 points, but it wasn’t enough as the team shot 32% from the three-point line compared to the Nugget’s 50%. Max Strus and Gabe Vincent were disappointing again, as they contributed just two points, five rebounds and one assist.
While the Heat was able to win a game in the first leg in Denver, the Nuggets have been well supported in the market and are currently $1.25 to close the series out in front of their home fans.
