Aston villa v arsenal

february 6th 11:30pm

Arsenal lob into Villa Park to face Aston Villa with a win for either side putting them one step closer to the top six for a guaranteed spot in European football next season.

VIlla midfielder Jack Grealish put on a midfield masterclass when these two sides met earlier in the season leading his side to 3-0 thumping of the Gunners at the Emirates.

Since then it’s been an up and down season for both teams.

Arsenal bounced back from a horrible run of form throughout November and December to go on a five game undefeated run.

However, that was brought to a halt after a controversial 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton midweek saw the sending off of David Luiz and Bernd Leno.

Both Luiz and Leno will miss this match against Villa leaving Arsenal short of strength in defence.

The Gunners will be boosted by the return of captain and star strike Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after coach Mikel Arteta confirmed his availability for today.

From Aston Villa’s point of view there are no reported injuries or omissions from the 3-1 loss against West Ham at home midweek as it looks to bounce back into winning ways.

The last time this fixture was held at Villa Park it was the home side who won 1-0 and that should give them some spark but the Gunners should be resolute as they seek payback.

Prediction: Aston Villa 1 Arsenal 1

Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.4.

Manchester United v EVERTON

february 7TH 7:00Am

Manchester United welcome Everton to ‘The Theatre of Dreams’ as the pair do battle with a league title and champions league spot in the horizon.

United returned back to its old, ruthless self with a 9-0 demolition job of Southampton in its midweek game at Old Trafford.

The Toffees also enter this game with winning form but not the degree of United.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men scrapped over the line to defeat Leeds United 2-1 at Elland Road after first half strikes from Gylfi Sigurosson and Dominic Calvin-Lewin were enough to hold off Raphina’s 48th minute goal.

The head to head comparison in all competitions has United well ahead here with the last 15 games between these two clubs only yielding two wins for Everton but eight wins for the Red Devils.

In their most recent Premier League outing it was United who took home all three points.

A double to midfield maestro Bruno Fernandes and 95th minute strike from Edison Cavani were enough to cancel out Bernard’s 19th minute goal for The Toffees.

Now Everton face the stern away test of having to play a United side in winning form.

Ancelotti is obviously a genius and can definitely trouble United with his innate tactical ability but the talent of United will likely prove too much to handle

Prediction: Manchester United 2 Everton 1

Suggested Same Game Multi:

  • Leg 1: Manchester United head to head
  • Leg 2: Bruno Fernandes anytime goalscorer
  • Leg 3: Both teams to score

Combined odds = $4.5

liverpool v manchester city

february 8th 3:30am

The clash of the titans.

Reigning Premier League champion Liverpool will be looking to get its title defence back in the right direction when it graces the turf against Manchester City at Anfield.

City has hit a massive purple patch of form as its surge to the top of the Premier League table now sees it as that $1.25 favourite to win the league.

Pep Guardiola has rallied his squad to 13 straight undefeated Premier League fixtures as it perches atop of the league, three points clear with a game in hand on second-placed United.

The Citizens last loss dates back to November 22 when it was handed a 2-0 defeat courtesy of Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool, on the other hand, dropped points at home to a relegation embattled side to making it two straight losses at Anfield in the Premier League.

This time it was Brighton & Hove Albion who inflicted a 1-0 defeat upon Jurgen Klopp’s men in what was one of, if not, the biggest upset of the season.

Given the defensive frailties at the back now that Josip Matic has been ruled out of the season with an ankle injury, this merciless Manchester City team will be sniffing blood.

The absence of Virgil Van Dyk has clearly hurt Liverpool defensively and given its recent form at home it’s hard to make a serious case for them against City who are rampant at the moment.

Prediction: Liverpool 0 Manchester City 2

Suggested Bet: Manchester City head to head $2.10
