Some big clashes under lights headline this week’s NFL action
Our team of experts have analysed all the form and markets for a big week ahead.
Arizona vs. New Orleans
21st October 11:15am
After an at-times promising 2021/22, this has been a disappointing year for the Cardinals that has been made worse with a loss to Seattle last week. Not so long ago, Arizona had one of the most talented offences in the NFL, but that is now their Achilles heel. Kyler Murray has moments of brilliance in the pocket, but that is matched with too much inconsistency, while their lack of impact when running could see them in the market for a new ball carrier sooner than some may think.
New Orleans is the polar opposite in the backfield, with Alvin Kamara hitting his stride after missing much of the early season through injury. Kamara is complemented by an impressive cast of options that makes the Saints a tough match-up, even though they couldn’t get the job done against Cincinnati last week. Their biggest issue is at Quarterback, with Jameis Winston inching towards a return as the starter while Andy Dalton shoulders the load for now. Winston is still a question mark, but regardless New Orleans should take the W here.
Suggested Bet – Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Saints +1.5
Leg 2: Total score under 45.5
Leg 3: A Kamara 50+ rushing yards
Leg 4: A Kamara 2+ receptions
Total: $4.50
Miami vs. Pittsburgh
24th October 11:20am
The mystery around the quarterback position extends to this game, with Tua Tagovailoa a chance to make his return from a controversial concussion. Even if he passes all the fitness tests ahead of this game, there may be a push to take the conservative approach even though Miami’s depth in the position has been sorely tested with injuries to several other options.
Concussion protocols will also have a bearing on Pittsburgh, with Kenny Pickett exiting late in last week’s inspiring win over Tampa Bay. Still, even if he has to hand the reigns to Mitch Trubisky, it may not be a huge difference.
The Steelers have been considered one of the worse teams in the league this year, especially with injuries decimating their defensive team. Still, a win over a Bucs team that held the Superbowl trophy 20 months ago could serve as a springboard for the rest of their season.
Suggested Bet: Steelers win at $3.50
New England vs. Chicago
25th October 11:15am
Chicago cost themselves a very winnable game over the Commanders last week, letting slip some crucial redzone opportunities. Justin Fields isn’t playing like a man with too much confidence at the moment, and it is often up to the running game to hold the Bears’ hopes.
They will take on a resurgent New England team led by a white hot rookie Quarterback in Bailey Zappe who posted two touchdowns and 329 yards in the win over Cleveland.
Throw in a unified and restrictive defensive team craftily put together by the wily Bill Belichick and the Pats may be bound for playoffs action once again.
Suggested Bet – Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Patriots -7.5
Leg 2: Total score under 39.5
Total: $4.10
