Thursday night equals greyhound racing at Sandown Park.
The BetDeluxe greyhound team is all hands on deck to find the best bets and tips ahead of the 12-race program.
sandown park race 1
#8 Lady Zeeva
Lady Zeeva has the early toe to cross from her wide box.
Really liked her efforts at this track three and four starts back when she faced tough opposition.
There does not look to be too much speed draw her inside and if she can cross to find the lead early in the race, she is going to be hard to catch at good each-way odds.
She has had plenty of experience of at the track and looks ready to win.
Suggested Bet: Lady Zeeva each-way at $10 the win and $2.40 the place.
Suggested Exotic: Quinella 4 & 8
sandown park race 2
#1 Targod Shirley
Targod Shirley is still learning her craft as a greyhound having only had six runs in her career, but she looks nicely set up here.
The inside box is going to assist her greatly as she can find the rail early in her race.
Happy to forgive her last start effort and would rather focus on her win her on January 16 where she led all the way from box three over 595 metres.
She gets back up to that distance here and can easily hold the lead from box one.
She is the only dog in the field with proven winning credentials at the track.
Suggested Bet: Targod Shirley win at $4.6
Sandown park race 4
#8 levitation
Levitation is racing in sensational form at the present and can easily atone for his last-start defeat.
The Jacqueline Greenough-trained chaser is a very talented chaser and has the ability to progress through to the top grades of racing in Australia.
She continually puts herself on the speed and has very good box manners, which is exactly what is needed to win races like this.
Box eight looks an ideal proposition for her as she can wind up her sharp early toe without being impeded out wide on the track.
She has a massive starting price advantage over Soda Fizz when they went head to head on Sunday and that has to be factored in.
Suggested Bet: Levitation win at $2.90
Suggested Exotic: Exacta 8 & 1
Sandown park race 8
#5 paddy wants pats
The backers of Paddy Wants Pats definitely needed a consoling pat on the back after Kelly Bravo-trained chaser found all sorts of trouble last start.
Being sent out as a $3.5 favourite in a Free-For-All race over 515 metres at Sandown last Thursday, he loomed up on the outside of Hamillson but failed to get past that dog and ended up being checked.
Hamillson is no longer in this event after being scratched and the lead completely opens up for Paddy Wants Pats should he show the early pace and mid-race burn he did last week.
Expecting him to get a clear run at it without being pestered.
Suggested Bet: Paddy Wants Pats win at $3.4
Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 3, 4, 5
