We get midweek NBA action underway with a big clash between Brooklyn and Golden State.
The bets bets for the best fixtures on Wednesday.
Golden State @ Brooklyn
November 17th 11:30am
Two uber-talented squads take to the court of Barclays Arena when Brooklyn hosts Golden State for a huge Eastern versus Western Conference battle.
The Nets find themselves sitting second in the East, while the Warriors 11-2 record has them first in the West.
The Warriors will be looking to bounce back after a shock loss to Charlotte on Monday and might very well be able to do with the Nets to be without Joe Harris and Paul Millsap.
There is an injury cloud cast over Kevin Durant who hurt his right shoulder, but the MVP candidate is expected to front up against his counterpart Stephen Curry.
Both teams boast incredible talent on offence, but it is the Warriors who have shown more of it this year having scored the most points per game in the league, while the Nets rank 16th – well down from their 2020/21 average.
The Nets only have a 50% strike rate against the spread through six games as home favourites.
Going with the Warriors to cover the line in this one.
Suggested Bet: Golden State Warriors +2.5 at $1.92
Philadelphia @ Utah
November 17th 2:00pm
Fifth in the Western Conference meets 6th in the Eastern Conference when Utah welcomes Philadelphia to Vivint Smart Home Arena.
Utah will be keen to find winning form again after dropping its first home game of the season in the loss to Miami on Monday.
It will not get any easier for the Jazz who come up against 76ers team desperate to overcome a four-game losing slide.
The 76ers have slumped to 8-6 after sitting at 8-2 and right up the top of the East in vicinity of the high-flying Warriors.
Both the 76ers and Jazz share similar records against the spread this season with the hosts slightly edging ahead with a 57% strike rate compared to the 76ers’ 50% record.
It is tough to see the Jazz dropping another home game especially with the 76ers missing Joel Embiid.
Suggested Bet: Utah Jazz -8.5 at $1.89
san antonio @ la clippers
november 17th 2:30pm
Los Angeles Clippers play host to the San Antonio Spurs at the Staples Center on Wednesday afternoon.
The Clippers had their impressive seven-game winning streak brought to a halt by Chicago when going by 10 points, while the Spurs fell to the Lakers.
Holding freak all-rounder Paul George is going to be critical for the Spurs if they wish to find a way to victory on the road.
Even though the Clippers slipped up against the Bulls, George was still in solid form with 27 points and 11 rebounds.
On the other hand, the Spurs, despite sitting 13th in the East, actually have a solid 7-6 record against the spread this season which is identical to the Clippers.
San Antonio did show some nice structure and prowess on offence against the Lakers as well, so a repeat of that might just very well see them cover the spread here.
Suggested Bet: San Antonio +6.5 at $1.94
