Week eight of the NFL 2021/22 season arrives.
The BetDeluxe team goes through the game-by-game preview and the best bets for another weekend of NFL action.
Will Green Bay end Arizona’s seven-game unbeaten run?
Arizona vs. Green Bay
29th October 11:20am
Being dubbed the game of the season.
The undefeated Arizona Cardinals meet the Green Bay Packers for a huge clash of Thursday night prime-time football at University of Phoenix Stadium.
The Cardinals have crushed all before them, but meet a Packers team who have been led brilliantly by veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers following a horrible opening game of the season.
A six-game winning streak might be hard to halt, but the Cardinals have been brilliant and the home-crowd will be a big push for them here.
Suggested Bet: Arizona -6.5 at $1.91
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Arizona -6.5
Leg 2: Total points under 50.5
Leg 3: K. Murray 2+ passing TDs
Leg 4: K. Murray over 229.5 passing yards
Combined odds = $7
Atlanta vs. Carolina
1st November 4:00am
Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the location where the Atlanta Falcons (3-3) will attempt to beat the Carolina Panthers (3-4) on this weekend.
The Falcons come into this contest with a week to freshen up and collect their thoughts, while the Panthers copped a humiliating 25-3 loss to New York Giants.
The form the Panthers showed in that game against the Giants is enough to be completely against them here.
Suggested Bet: Atlanta -2.5 at $1.94
cleveland vs. pittsburgh
1 November 4:00am
Cleveland attempt to find a win against Pittsburgh in a bid make it a 5-3 record through its eight games this season.
The Browns will have to stave off a plucky Steelers line up though after they played against the Seahawks and walked away with a 23-20 win.
The Browns win over Denver kept them within striking distance of the Ravens and Bengals.
Now, Cleveland has another huge opportunity in front of them in their first AFC North game.
Suggested Bet: Cleveland -3.5 at $1.91
buffalo vs. miami
1st november 4:00am
Sunday’s Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills game features two division rivals who find themselves in dramatically different situations.
The Bills come in at 4-2 off their bye following a Week 6 loss in Tennessee.
The Dolphins, on the other hand, are losers of six straight games, but have showed promise.
Think this is a canter job for the Bills.
Suggested Bet: Buffalo Bills -16.5 at $2.20
chicago vs. san francisco
1st november 4:00am
San Francisco heads over to Chicago to face the Bears as the -3.5 favourite.
Interestingly, San Francisco has one win against the spread in six games this season, so the form on the board is not exactly ideal.
The Bears have performed slightly better against the spread covering it three times through their seven games.
Bit of a head scratcher this one, but we will respect the market here and side with the better team on paper.
Suggested Bet: San Francisco -3.5 at $1.91
detroit vs. philadelphia
1st november 4:00am
It feels like the Lions will never win a game this season, but an opportunity arises against the Eagles in this cellar dweller clash.
The Lions are 0-7 through the season thus far and rebuild mode is clearly taking shape, while the Eagles have limped their way to 2-5.
Even though the Lions are winless, there was plenty to like about their effort in the 28-17 loss against Los Angeles Rams last week.
Suggested Bet: Detroit Lions +3.5 at $1.89
indianapolis vs. tennesee
1st november 4:00am
The Colts have won three of their last four games, including a primetime victory against Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers.
That hot streak has pushed them right back into the thick of the AFC South hunt.
Tennessee, however, is a different beast.
The Titans may have lost to the Jets earlier in the season, but they are fresh off wins against Josh Allen’s Bills and Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs and that form warrants a huge amount of respect.
Suggested Bet: Tennesee Titans +1.5 at $1.92
new york jets vs. Cincinnati
1st november 4:00am
The Jets met the Bengals in what looks to be an underwhelming contest from a head to head perspective.
They are two teams that are certainly heading in opposite directions, with the Bengals being 5-2 and the Jets having a 1-5 record.
No way can we see the Jets stopping a rampaging Bengals team who pulled off a remarkable win on the road against Baltimore last weekend, and they did so in dominant fashion, winning 41-17.
Suggested Bet: Cincinnati -10.5 at $1.91
houston vs. los angeles rams
1st november 4:00am
Los Angeles Rams meet a struggling Houston Texans team this weekend.
The Rams have charged to a 6-1 record with quarterback Matt Stafford leading the way, while the Texans were belted by undefeated Arizona last week and slumped to a 1-6 record for the season.
Defensively, the Texans have looked horrendous this season and coming up against a quarterback like Stafford might just see this game blowout.
Suggested Bet: LA Rams -14.5 at $1.92
los angeles chargers vs. new england
1st november 7:05am
Two young quarterbacks will face off in Mac Jones for the New England Patriots and Justin Herbert for the the Los Angeles Chargers and we will see the battle between the two old heads of two high-level coaches in Bill Belichick and Brandon Staley.
The Chargers have obviously looked like the better team so far, but the Patriots have shown more than enough this season to warrant a challenge here.
As tempting as it is to back the Chargers at home and fresh off a bye, the Patriots can beat the spread easily.
Suggested Bet: New England +4.5 at $1.90
seattle vs. jacksonville
1st november 7:05am
Jacksonville strides into this on-the-road game against Seattle with the momentum of its first win during the season the freshen up of a bye.
Seattle, meanwhile, will again be without quarterback Russell Wilson, who hurt his finger in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams.
His omission has seen the Seahawks slump to 2-4 and in grave danger of missing the playoffs.
Suggested Bet: Jacksonville +4.5 at $1.79
denver vs. washington
1st november 7:25am
The AFC East and AFC West meet when Washington Football Team travels to Empower Field to face the Denver Broncos.
Washington enters this game with a 2-5 record after losing to Green Bay on the road by 14 points in its last week, while Denver slid to a 3-4 record after losing to Cleveland on the road by three points.
This looks a very tough to game split from a head to head perspective, but the unders for points scored might be the way to go here with Washington really struggling on offence.
Suggested Bet: Total points scored under 44.5 at $1.89
new orleans vs. tampa bay
1st november 7:25am
Tom Brady brings his talent to New Orleans when the Buccaneers face off against the Saints.
The Buccaneers have been simply sublime this season, ranking as a top-10 team in both their offensive and defensive units.
The current champions of the NFL will be looking to continue their winning ways, but the Saints will definitely make a test of this game coming off back-to-back wins on the road.
Suggested Bet: New Orleans Saints +4.5 at $1.92
minnesota vs. dallas
1st november 11:00am
The intrigue surrounding the injury status of star quarterback Dak Prescott is what has taken the headlines heading into this clash between Minnesota and Dallas.
Prescott suffered a calf strain in the Cowboy’s Week 6 victory over the New England Patriots, and though it sounds as though he’s trending in the right direction, it hard to know exactly how fit he will be.
The Vikings will prove dangerous opposition to this Cowboys winning streak.
Suggested Bet: Minnesota -2.5 at $1.87
kansas city vs. new york giants
2nd november 11:15am
Arrowhead Stadium will play host to a Monday night NFL football clash between the New York Giants and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Giants (2-5) have been decimated by injuries on the offensive side of the ball and rank 25th in scoring at 19.9 points per game.
Last week, however, New York limited Carolina to 173 yards of total offence during a brave and gallant 25-3 home victory.
But Patrick Mahomes will have other things to say despite the heart shown by the Giants last week.
Suggested Bet: Kansas City Chiefs -9.5 at $1.90
