Champions League Match Day Five, Tips & Previews, Oct 20th

Match-day five of European Champions League is here as our team goes through the best bets and same game multis for each fixture.

We charge into match day five of the Champions League as the BetDeluxe team syphons its way through the best bets and same game multis across eight fixtures.

It all starts with Manchester City travelling over to Belgium for a clash against Club Brugge.

Club Brugge vs. Manchester City

October 20th 3:45am

Club Brugge will attempt to reel off another giant kill when it faces Manchester City in Belgium.

A 2-1 win over RB Leipzig has the Belgian high-flyer now in with a genuine chance to topple its more fancied rivals in this group and progress through to the knockout phase, but Pep Guardiola will be preparing to bring this run to a halt.

City fell to defeat against PSG in France at its most recent European fixture and will be keen to make amends here.

With Phil Foden set to sign a new contract with the Citizens, the mood around the club will be up and about in tandem with a 2-0 win over Burnley in the Premier League.

Prediction: Club Brugge 1 Manchester City 2

Suggested Bets: Phil Foden first goal scorer at $4.75

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Manchester City head to head
Leg 2: P. Foden anytime goal scorer
Leg 3: Total goals over 2.5

Combined odds = $2.90

Besiktas vs. Sporting Lisbon

October 20th 3:45am

With both teams yet to find a point in the group stage so far, this clash between Group C underdogs is an integral battle to determine who might just nab the Europa League spot.

Sporting is favoured to win the game having shown a bit more form in its loss to Borussia Dortmund.

That form looks stronger than what Besiktas dished up in the group stage so far.

Prediction: Besiktas 0 Sporting Libson 1

Suggested Bets: Sporting Lisbon head to head at $2.20

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Sporting Lisbon head to head
Leg 2: Paulinho any time goal scorer
Combined odds = $3.50

FC Porto vs. AC Milan

October 20th 6:00am

A first win beckons for AC Milan or FC Porto when they go head to head in their third fixture of the group stage.

AC Milan was stiff not to grab a point against Atletico after being reduced to 10 men and copping a last gasp goal to go down 2-1, while FC Porto was crushed 5-1 by Liverpool.

Milan has, on paper, been better performed than FC Porto in this tournament and its league form would suggest the $2.9 on offer could be a steal.

With the incumbent return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Milan is poised to strike.

Prediction: FC Porto 1 AC Milan 2

Suggested Bets: AC Milan head to head at $2.90

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: AC Milan head to head
Leg 2: Z. Ibrahimovic anytime goal scorer
Combined odds = $3.80

Atletico Madrid vs. Liverpool

October 20th 6:00am

Liverpool and Atletico Madrid do battle in Group B with a win for either side solidifying top spot at the halfway point of fixtures.

Atletico stole victory away from what looked to be a certain draw against AC Milan, while Liverpool crushed FC Porto with an emphatic 5-1 victory.

Mo Salah might just very well be the difference in this game with Jurgen Klopp declaring the best player in the world on his current form.

Klopp might just very well be correct.

Liverpool, albeit looking a bit shaky at the back, has been as efficient as over on offence and that will be the winning edge here.

Prediction: Atletico Madrid 0 Liverpool 1

Suggested Bets: Liverpool head to head at $2.2

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Liverpool head to head
Leg 2: Total goals scored under 2.5
Combined odds = $4.20

Inter Milan vs. Sherrif Tiraspol

October 20th 6:00am

Sheriff Tiraspol will be looking to make it three straight victories in Group D when they continue their Champions League campaign away to Italian giants Inter Milan on Tuesday.

A total of six points from two games has incredibly left tournament debutants Sheriff at the top of the section, while Inter is third, having collected just one point from its opening two fixtures.

There is no denying this is another ‘David versus Golitah’ type of match-up, but Sheriff has shown it is akin to the task.

Prediction: Inter 1 Sheriff 1

Suggested Bets: Draw at $7.5

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Draw head to head
Leg 2: Total goals under 2.5
Combined odds = $17

Ajax vs. Borussia

October 20th 6:00am

A top of the table Group C clash ensues when Borussia Dortmund travels to Holland when it faces Ajax.

Something must give in this match.

Both sides have claimed maximum points from their first two fixtures against Besiktas and Sporting, so will go head-to-head in the first of consecutive meetings which could decide their destiny.

The Ajax defence will be tasked with stopping Erling Haaland and veteran forward Marco Reus who are both in fine goal-scoring form.

With the market being so close from head to head perspective, the value looks to be in the draw.

Prediction: Ajax 2 Borussia 2

Suggested Bets: Draw at $3.90
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Total goals scored over 3.5
Leg 2: E. Haaland anytime goal scorer
Leg 3: Both teams to score – YES
Combined odds = $2.63

Shakhtar Donetsk vs. Real Madrid

October 20th 6:00am

Real Madrid will be out to put a shock defeat against Sheriff Tiraspol behind it when it plays Ukrainian powerhouse Shakhtar Donetsk.

Not often is top spot in the group stage under threat for a team like Real Madrid, but a loss here would be nearly catastrophic to its chances of not only winning the group but progressing through.

The key to this contest will be how attacking minded Shakhtar will attempt to be given this game is on home soil.

Real Madrid can easily blow this game apart should Shakhtar get over exuberant against a team who has looked vulnerable.

No value for Madrid at the head to head, but the total goal market looks the play.

Prediction: Shakhtar 1 Real Madrid 1

Suggested Bets: Total goals scored under 2.5 at $3.10

PSG vs. RB Leipzig

October 20th 6:00am

The most expensive team in Europe will be riding the wave of a 2-0 win over Manchester City when it faces RB Leipzig at Parc De Princes.

PSG finally showed what it has under the bonnet with Lionel Messi hitting the scoresheet for the first time in the Champions League for the French champion.

RB Leipzig, meanwhile, was sent packing by Club Brugge as the German team failed to capitalise on its home-ground advantage and would ultimately succumb to a 2-1 loss.

If Maurizio Pochettino is wanting to hold onto his job and prove his worth, then this must simply be a win that stamps PSG’s authority over this group.

Prediction: PSG 3 RB Leipzig 1

Suggested Bets: PSG head to head at $1.52

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: PSG head to head
Leg 2: L. Messi any time goalscorer
Leg 3: Total goals over 3.5
Leg 4: Both teams to score – YES
Combined odds = $3.90
