Ternion has had a two fairly quiet jump outs at Cranbourne and his trainer Robbie Griffiths is known for getting his debutants to run well at huge odds
Interesting that he scratched Spirit of Pepin in favour of this race.
Suspect this three-year-old gelding might have something up the sleeve for debut after being asked to do close to zero in both his Cranbourne efforts heading into race day.
A lot of the time these 1000-metre races endear themselves to horses who settle off the pace and attack the line late in the piece which is will likely happen here.
Griffiths is clearly teaching this horse how to settle in behind other horses as seen in the jump outs and he has done a fairly good job of it so far.
Barrier one will allow this juvenile to get a perfect drop in behind the leaders with the rails to guide him home.
Suggested Bet: Ternion each-way at $41 the win and $6.5 the place.

Sale race 2
#8 Denirra
Denirra was scratched from Wangaratta on Tuesday for this 1000-metre maiden plate at Sale.
The four-year-old mare comes into this race off the back of some handy trials with the effort behind The Billionaire at Cranbourne being the one that stands out.
She put pay to a city-performed horse in Teramia during that trial and could won the trial should her jockey had decided to give her a click up.
Suspect Daniel Moor will adopt front-running tactics here from the middle barrier.
Additionally, should it get too hot early, this mare has shown her capability to take a sit as she did in her trial.
Suggested Bet: Denirra win at $3.4
Sale race 3
#7 Guaranteed
Happy to forget Guaranteed ever ran around at Geelong when he debuted over 1200 metres and was beaten out of sight.
He copped a wet track which he clearly did not handle all that well, but it was his Ballarat trial over 850 metres behind the Violinist and Meehni prior to debut, who are winners in their own right, that attracts us to him.
Furthermore, he has had two jump outs – one with blinkers and one without – at Caulfield which have been encouraging
Mick Price & Michael Kent (Jnr) have applied the blinkers to this three-year-old gelding for race day and he did show rapid improvement when sporting them in his most recent jump out.
Suspect we will see a diferent horse to the one we saw at Geelong and at long odds he is worth an each-way ticket.
Suggested Bet: Guaranteed each-way at $18 the win and $4.20 the place.

#12 Deep Blast
Deep Blast looks a progressive three-year-old colt for the Ben & J D Hayes stable.
The Deep Field-bred galloper broke his maiden with a tough win after chasing a solid lead speed at Pakenham over 1000 metres.
He careered away late in the maiden event as a $1.90 favourite to win by just under a length, but was extended his margin after the line to suggest 1100 meters will be no concern for him.
Jamie Mott should be able to find the front without too much hassle from barrier three.
Predicting Mott to control the pace out in front and boot clear to win as this horse progresses towards city grade next start.
