To the hard-courts of Flushing Meadows we go for a big set of grand slam fixtures and host of Aussies continuing to fly the flag.
The best bets are in.
Alexei Popyrin vs. Daniel Evans
September 4th 2:30am
Australian hope Alexei Popyrin fronts up against Daniel Evans in the third round of the US Open.
Popyrin progressed through after walkover victory in his clash with number 15 seed Grigor Dimitrov, while Evans knocked out American Marcos Giron in four sets.
There is cause for excitement with the form of Popyrin as the 22-year-old paves the path for a career best performance on the grand slam circuit.
His swash buckling base line play is what will trouble Evans in this game, but the number 24 seed has the experience on his side to thwart the danger.
We are set for an intriguing game between the youth and exuberance of Popyrin and the steady head of the Brit.
Suggested Bets:
Total games over 38.5 at $1.83
Alexei Popyrin head to head at $1.92
Robert Bautista Agut vs. Felix Auger-Aliassime
September 4th 9:00am
Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime faces off against Spanish veteran Robert Bautista Agut with both attempting to make the US Open fourth round.
Bautista Agut took the scalp of Nick Kyrgios in Round 1 earlier this week following a comprehensive straight sets victory over the enigmatic Australia.
Auger-Aliassime, meanwhile, breezed past Agut’s compatriot Bernanbe Zapata Miralles in straight sets after overcoming a first-set tiebreaker.
The world number 12 has continued to impress as he rises through the ranks and it now about harnessing that energy and buzz he shows through his rallies into a more consistent level.
Bautista Agut is yet to drop a set in the tournament and win here would see him equal his career best finish at the US Open.
The market is saying this is a tough game to split, but the Spanish veteran has shown more than his fair share of form this tournament
Suggested Bet:
Roberto Bautista Agut win at $1.84
Elena Rybakina vs. Simona Halep
September 4th 1:05am
Simona Halep is out to continue her comeback from a calf injury when she takes on Elena Rybakina in the third round.
Rybabinka will prove a tough customer though with the 22-year-old Kazakhstani launching her way through the rankings to be the 19th seed in this grand slam.
She has ripped through her opponents in the first two rounds and poses a genuine threat to Halep who, like her opponent, is yet t0 drop a set at Flushing Meadows.
Both ladies have played each other once with Rybakina winning the first contest by forfeit and Halep taking out the most recent clash back in Dubai last year with a three-set win.
Predicting this one to go the length.
Suggested Bet:
Simona Halep 2-1 at $3.20
Total games over 21.5 at $1.83
Ash Barty vs. Shelby Rogers
September 5th 1:00am
Australian grand slam queen Ash Barty takes to Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday morning (AEDT time) when she faces American hope Shelby Rogers.
Barty has been in scintillating form of late following up her Cincinnati Masters triumph with two dominant performances to begin her quest for US Open glory.
Her opponent is an unseeded 29-year-old who produced an upset victory in the second round defeating Sorana Cirstea in straight sets.
Of the five times Barty and Rogers have met, it is the Australia who came away with victory on every occasion.
Rogers has only every pushed Barty to three sets in two of those games and even if she has the dare to do so here, Barty will deal with it.
She is the favourite in the tournament for a reason.
Suggested Bet:
Ash Barty 2-1 at $3.26
