Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks begin their quests for NBA glory on Wednesday morning as our team analyses the best bets.
Milwaukee @ Phoenix
July 7th 11:00am
Phoenix hosts Milwaukee for Game 1 of the NBA Finals in what is set to be one of the most hotly contested series in recent memory.
Thankfully, for Milwaukee, the heartbreak of losing Giannis Antetokounmpo for the entire finals has not come to fruition with the the Bucks champion making good progress after hyperextending his knee against Atlanta.
The Suns, meanwhile, come into this game with a fully fit squad as Devin Booker and Chris Paul attempt to make history.
Both Booker and Paul have combined better than Mario and Luigi in these playoffs.
Booker has averaged 27 points per game to go with 6.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists, while Paul has managed 18.1 points, 8.7 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game in the playoffs.
Despite the brilliant form of Paul and Booker likely to prove a headache, the Bucks have shown their worth this playoffs series even without the Greek Freak.
Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday filled the void of Giannis brilliantly in their Game 6 win over Atlanta.
Middleton (32 points, seven assists) and Holiday (27 points, nine assists and nine rebounds) helped the Bucks to a 118-107 win to qualify for a shot at the Larry O’Brien trophy.
Phoenix look well set up to take home Game 1 but the Bucks will make this a gruelling test.
