Group 1 racing returns to the city of churches this Saturday. With the Australasian Oaks and Robert Sangster Stakes featuring on the bumper program, all roads lead to Adelaide! In Victoria, Flemington host the traditional Anzac Day meeting.

#6 New York Lustre
New York Lustre can resume a winner. The Manhattan Rain mare is a fresh specialist, and her record over the trip must be respected. Barrier four puts her into all winning conversations, and her double-figure opening quote has been more than nibbled at. Her recent trials were rock-solid, and I suspect she will be full wound-up for a first-up tilt. She represents great each way value.
Niance is a noted fresh performer. The 1100m suits first-up, and the form around her reads extremely well for this event. Her best performances here would prove too strong for her key rivals, and the market has gravitated towards the talented girl early doors. Her fate may be sealed during the early stages of the race from the horror draw.
Suggested Bet: New York Lustre @ $8.00
Morphettville Race 6
#1 Legacy Bound
Legacy Bound is coming off a forgivable run on a bog track. The Ole Kirk gelding never went a yard, and I suspect it will pay dividends to forget that he went around. His fresh win was classy, and he looks well placed to bounce back in this company. The inside draw should give his supporters extra confidence, and his opening quote has folded faster than Superman on laundry day. Ready to bounce back!
Tycoon Star is knocking on the door. Both runs this campaign have caught the eyes of punters, and I suspect he is ready to explode third-up from a spell. The addition of James McDonald should raise plenty of eyebrows, and the middle gate will provide the big boy multiple options in transit. The step out in trip suits, and he handles all track conditions. His overall winning record is the primary concern.
Suggested Bet: Legacy Bound @ $4.80
#2 Getta Good Feeling
Getta Good Feeling looks the best bet on a strong and competitive program. The So You Think filly remains undefeated for the current campaign, and the form around her has stood up time and again. She strips fitter after two dominant victories, and the 2000m looks the logical progression third-up from a spell. The middle draw provides a menagerie of options in the run, and she meets the usual suspects. Her versatility is exceptional, and I expect her to loom to win as they cut the ribbons. Ready to peak!
Salty Pearl has been the big improver this autumn. Her Group 1 placing behind Belle Cheval was outstanding, and her victory two starts back at Caulfield was nothing short of impressive. The inside draw puts her into all winning conversations, and she is ready for the longer trip. Dismiss at your own peril!
Morphettville Race 8
#17 Point Barrow
Point Barrow is an exciting prospect. The Blue Point filly blew away a strong field at her latest outing, and she looks a Group 1 winner in waiting. The 1200m suits at this stage of her campaign, and her camp are training winners for fun at present. The form around her is first-class, and I suspect this is her main assignment for the autumn. The carpark draw is the primary concern.
Generosity has been well supported early doors after producing two impressive performances for her current campaign. Her win first-up over Marhoona was elite, and she was luckless at her latest outing in a strong form race. She finds her pet distance, and the James McDonald and Chris Waller factor must be respected. Can play a role inside the final furlong!
Suggested Bet: Point Barrow @ $5.00
Flemington Race 6
#16 Silvasista
Silvasista has one hoof on the till. The Toronado filly is untapped, and the camp has a huge opinion on the progressive three-year-old. Her times and margins in her recent outings are first-class, and she looks well placed despite her limited racing. The longer trip looks ideal, and the flood of early money tells a story. Another bold showing is expected!
Erupt is over the odds. The Kermadec gelding has turned heads at both career outings, and I suspect this event has been a long-range target from the astute camp. The inside draw is advantageous, and his breeding indicates the longer trip will be in his wheelhouse. A must for all broader multiples and exotics at the cricket-score odds.
Suggested Bet: Silvasista @ $3.00
Flemington Race 7
#15 Zakouma
Zakouma is building a nice picket fence next to his name. The lightly raced five-year-old is ultra-progressive, and he gets his opportunity to shine in a decent Saturday class race. The camp are flying, and he is extremely well weighted in this company. The big boy handles all track conditions, and he is undefeated at the trip. Hard to toss!
Bring Forth is another runner chasing a hat-trick of victories in this event. The Turn Me Loose gelding is winning for fun at present in lower grades, and he deserves his shot in this line-up. The apprentice claim could prove decisive, and the inside draw puts him into all winning calculations. Acid test!
Suggested Bet: Zakouma @ $2.70
