Warwick Farm and Sandown Lakeside are the places to be this Wednesday. Find out below who our experts are expecting to take home the mid-week cash!
Warwick Farm Race 5
#4 Hay Street
Hay Street is flying at present. The Capitalist gelding is chasing a hat-trick of victories, and he looks extremely well placed to continue on his winning ways. The apprentice claim is advantageous, and the middle gate provides the pilot multiple options in transit. The 1200m won’t pose any issues, and he has been well supported early doors. Hard to toss!
Mawjood is the class runner of the field. The Tassort gelding oozes class, and his exposed form reads well for this event. He has performed well at the trip previously, and his trials leading into his first-up assignment have been super. The wide gate and grandstand weight are among the primary concerns.
Rimbaud can resume a winner. The Lope De Vega gelding is a first-up specialist, and his best performance here could prove fences and panels better than his rivals. The distance suits first-up from a spell, and his opening quote has been more than nibbled at. The current track conditions suit to a tee, and his versatility alone puts him in the mix.
Suggested Bet: Hay Street @ $3.00
Warwick Farm RACE 7
#1 Sweethearted
Sweethearted is over the odds. The Brave Smash gelding will appreciate the significant drop in class, and he finds his pet distance fresh. His recent barrier trials looked ominous, and the form around him is elite. He has raced well at the track previously, and I suspect his opening quote will continue to tumble. Dismiss at your own peril!
Golden Straand resumes after a decent spring campaign. The Snitzel gelding put several victories together, and he simply looks better than the Benchmark 78 grade. The Nash Rawiller factor must be respected, and the camp are flying at present. Big watch!
Crepe Myrtle is poised to strike off a break. The Exceed And Excel mare drops significantly in grade, and she finds a very winnable assignment fresh. She is a 1100m specialist, and Zac Lloyd could ride a broomstick to victory at present. A dry track would help her case, and the early money tells a story. A must for all broader multiples and exotics.
Suggested Bet: Sweethearted @ $17.00
Sandown Lakeside Race 5
#3 All So Clear
All So Clear is knocking on the door. The So You Think gelding hasn’t missed a drum since the moon landing, and he finds a winnable event on Wednesday. His exposed form puts him in all winning conversations, and his versatility is exceptional. The opening quote is more than generous, and a win here wouldn’t surprise. He tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of a contest.
Houdini will have plenty of supporters after producing a consistent campaign to date. The Mark Zahra factor will play a role, and he looks well placed meeting easier opposition. The big boy handles all conditions, and he has been well supported in most all-in markets. The carpark draw is the biggest deterrent.
Customer Service can run a drum at a price. The Shocking gelding is racing better than it reads in the bible, and he deserves his opportunity at this level. He should be rock-hard fit after a lengthy and fruitful campaign, and he has been specked at a price. His racing pattern and style always requires an element of good fortune.
Suggested Bet: All So Clear @ $19.00
Sandown Lakeside Race 7
#3 Jett Smash
Jett Smash is chasing a hat-trick of victories. The Brave Smash gelding comes to town up and about, and he deserves his chance at this level. The step out in trip is the logical progression at this stage of his career, and he has been well supported early doors. The inside draw is advantageous, and he gets his opportunity to take the next step up in grade, over the odds.
Chowdown will start race favourite after making an impressive start to his current campaign. The lightly raced three-year-old has hardly put a foot wrong, and I suspect a victory here could launch him into some serious Saturday races. Watch for the big boy late!
Cinturato was good without winning at his latest outing. He chased home a smart one, and he was game in defeat. The Shamus Award gelding is well placed in this company, and he looks dangerous on the quick back-up. The progressive three-year-old has ability, and he will make his presence felt late with even luck in transit.
