Warwick Farm is the place to be this Wednesday. With plenty of value on offer and competitive benchmark racing expected, find out below who our experts are expecting to take home the mid-week cash!
Warwick Farm Race 4
#1 STRAAND BEAUTY
Straand Beauty was good without winning first-up at Randwick. The Exceed and Excel gelding led his rivals a merry dance throughout, and I suspect the fitness factor only got him late. His second-up record must be respected, and the James McDonald and John O’Shea combination will attract further market support. Hard to toss from a perfect inside draw.
Runranirun is winning for fun at present. The Press Statement mare is striving for a hat-trick of victories, and she is a 1000m specialist. Barrier three will give her every opportunity in transit to threaten, and the flood of early money indicates another bold and forward performance. Her racing pattern and style always requires an element of good fortune.
Smiling Prophet is too consistent to pot. The Divine Prophet mare doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and her first-up victory was first-class. The form around her has stood up time and again, and I suspect she still has further improvement to come for the current preparation. A must for all broader multiples and exotics.
Suggested Bet: Straand Beauty @ $2.30
Warwick Farm RACE 5
#7 SISU SPIRIT
Sisu Spirit is ready to win. Both runs this campaign have been full of merit, and I suspect he has been trained to the minute for his third-up assignment. The step out in trip is advantageous, and he looks well placed in this company. From the carpark draw he will ping the lids and roll forward, and if he can find the bunny uncontested during the early stages of the event, he may prove hard to run down. Major player!
Ivan’s Hero is model of consistency. The form around the big boy has stood up time and again, and he is drawn perfectly to receive the run of the race throughout. His winning strike-rate reads well for this event, and his price has been nibbled at since acceptances. He may need some luck getting off the dulex as they run for the doctor!
Man Of Worth was a brilliant last-start winner at Randwick. The Sea The Stars gelding put his rivals to the sword a long way from home, and I suspect he can continue on his winning ways with even luck in transit. The Chris Waller polish must be respected, and the key appointment of James McDonald speaks volumes. Dismiss at your own peril.
Suggested Bet: Sisu Spirit @ $6.00
Warwick Farm Race 6
#3 Covert Thinking
Covert Thinking is poised to strike. Both runs this campaign have been full of merit, and I suspect she is ready to explode on Wednesday. The 2kg apprentice claim puts one hoof on the till, and the perfect inside draw should give her key rivals sleepless nights leading into the event. The drop in grade could prove a training masterstroke, and she finds her pet distance. Cleary the one to beat.
Outta Line has made the perfect start to her racing career. The Pierro mare is undefeated to date, and she looks well placed in this company. The inside draw puts her into the mix, and her opening quote has disappeared faster than last week’s pay. The mile looks ideal at this stage of her preparation, and her pilot is arguably riding in career best form.
The well-named Dances With Hooves can run a drum at a price. Her form is better than it reads in the bible, and I suspect she will appreciate the significant drop-in class. The consistent Real Steel mare has rubbed shoulders with some serious gallopers over the journey, and I suspect she has the fitness edge on the majority of her rivals after a lengthy campaign. A must for broader multiples and exotics.
Suggested Bet: Covert Thinking @ $7.00
Warwick Farm Race 7
#1 Bat Out Of Hell
Bat Out Of Hell is a track and distance specialist. The Hellbent gelding is never far away, and I suspect he finds a winnable assignment on Wednesday. The camp are training winners for fun at present, and I expect the market to gravitate towards him late with James McDonald aboard. Benchmark 72 is his bread and butter, and he will look the winner as heads turn for home. His fate may be determined during the early stages of race.
Mornington Pier is an intriguing runner. The Pierro gelding resumes after a string of ominous trials, and he has been crunched in most all-in markets. The inside draw helps his plight, and the inform Chad Schofield takes the reins. His record at the distance must be respected, and I suspect he has more upside than the majority of his rivals. Over the odds!
Roussillon will have supporters after a consistent campaign to date. All runs this preparation have been super honest, and the enigmatic five-year-old rarely shirks the task. The 1400m is in his wheelhouse, and I suspect it may pay dividends to watch for any further market support. He can figure in the finish with even luck in-transit.
Suggested Bet: Bat Out Of Hell @ $5.50
