Caulfield Heath and Rosehill Gardens are the places to be this Wednesday! With the spring carnival still in full swing, who will stand up and make a name for themselves? Find out below who our experts are expecting to take home the mid-week cash!
Caulfield Race 6
#11 Tivaci Code
Tivaci Code was an impressive last-start winner at Warrnambool. The Tivaci gelding put his rivals to the sword a long way from home, and he looks well placed to continue on his winning ways on Wednesday. The key appointment of Craig Williams speaks volumes, and the camp are training winners for fun at present. The middle gate is advantageous, and the current track conditions suit it a tee. Hard to toss!
Macy Moon is knocking on the door. The Manhattan Rain gelding is ultra-consistent, and I suspect his next victory is just around the corner. The form around him reads well for this event, and he races well on top of the ground. He tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of a contest.
Masterful is a model of consistency. The Deep Field gelding is always thereabouts, and he finds a winnable assignment. The honest seven-year-old should be rock-hard fit after a lengthy campaign, and the step out to 1800m could prove the winning difference. The 3kg apprentice claim puts him into all winning conversations, and he has been specked at a price.
Suggested Bet: Tivaci Code @ $6.00
Caulfield RACE 7
#6 Prince Tycoon
Prince Tycoon looks the best bet on a competitive and tricky program. The Written Tycoon gelding has been smashed in most all-in markets, and I suspect he may jump in the red. He was ok without threatening in a hot form race at Moonee Valley fresh, and his second-up record is honest. The enigmatic three-year-old has progression and upside for days, and I expect him to climb through his grades successfully during the coming months. Hard to toss.
Express Guard is ready to explode. Both performances this campaign have been good without winning, and I suspect he has been trained to the minute for his third-up assignment. The 1200m suits at this stage of his preparation, and he possesses a dangerous turn of foot. His racing pattern and style always requires an element of good fortune.
Barbaric Lad is racing well at present. The Brutal gelding has finished on the heels of the winners all campaign, and he finds his pet distance on Wednesday. He is a winner at the track previously, and he strips fitter as a result of recent racing. He is no stranger to this class, and he meet the usual suspects. The carpark draw is the primary concern.
Suggested Bet: Prince Tycoon @ $2.35
Rosehill Race 5
#3 Just Glamourous
Just Glamourous looks extremely well placed in this company. The Justify mare has impressed punters in both starts this campaign for her new stable, and I suspect she has one hoof on till here. The step out in trip looks ideal, and I expect her to peak on Wednesday with two strong performances under her belt. Rosehill will suit her racing pattern and style, and the inform Joseph Pride camp must be respected. The one to beat.
Fiftyfivechevy is over the odds. The Puissance De Lune gelding resumes after producing several impressive barrier trials, and his fresh record reads well. The 1500m is a good starting point for his campaign, and I suspect he is ready ot produce a long and fruitful preparation. The form around him has stood up time and again, and the booking of Zac Llyod should fill his supporters with confidence. He will be thereabouts.
Automne Tree will have plenty of supporters after producing an eye-catching performance first-up from a spell at Hawkesbury. The Autumn Sun gelding will appreciate the longer trip, and I suspect he will appreciate the bigger circuit. The early money tells a tail, and the Chris Waller polish should never be underestimated. Watch for the big boy late!
Suggested Bet: Just Glamourous @ $5.50
Rosehill Race 6
#9 Buckenara
Buckenara is chasing at hatrick of victories. The Dundeel gelding is flying at present, and I suspect the progressive four-year-old is ready for the step out to the 1800m. The consistent four-year-old looks the likely leader on paper, and he deserves his shot at this level. The inform Dylan Gibbons takes the ride, and his double-figure quote has been nibbled at since acceptances. He may take some catching as they run for the doctor.
Sosino is ready to win. The significant drop in grade helps his chances, and the 2kg apprentice claim puts him into all winning calculations. The perfect inside draw is advantageous, and he handles all track conditions. His versatility alone puts him in the mix, and I am expecting a peak performance on Wednesday. He needs to notch uo another victory.
Due Calzini can run a drum at the cricket-score odds. The D’argento gelding is racing better than it suggests in the bible, and he gets his opportunity to strike in town. Barrier four will allow him to occupy the box-seat throughout, and if the gaps appear as heads turn for home, he can figure in the finish. Take on trust!
Suggested Bet: Buckenara @ $10.00
