Kensington and Bendigo are the features meetings this Wednesday. With competitive racing expected at both venues and plenty of prize money on offer, find out below who our experts expect to take home the cash!

Kensington Race 6

#13 Kilkenny

Kilkenny was an impressive last-start winner at Kembla Grange. The I Am Invincible filly showed a determined turn of foot to score, and she looks to have upside for days. The drop back in distance will suit the progressive three-year-old to a tee, and the Chris Waller and James McDonald combination must be respected. Another bold performance is expected.

Maori Chief will have supporters after producing an eye-catching performance first-up at Randwick. The big boy strips fitter after his recent heroics, and I suspect plenty of improvement will come for the campaign. The inside draw is advantageous, and the key appointment of Nash Rawiller speaks volumes. Acid test!

Canara is over the odds. The stunning filly is racing better than it reads in the form guide, and I expect her quote to shorten significantly before the barriers open. The drop-in grade plays into her favour, and she finds an ideal distance on Wednesday. If the penny drops, her rivals could be in a bit of froth and bubble. Take on trust!

Suggested Bet: Kilkenny @ $4.20

Kensington RACE 7

#7 Swelter

Swelter looks the best bet on a tricky and competitive program. His best performance here could be fences and panels better than his rivals, and I suspect he has the fitness edge after a lengthy and ultra-consistent campaign. The form around him has stood up time and again, and he has been well supported in most all-in markets. Hard to toss!

Lugarno is racing well without winning. The Rubick gelding is always thereabouts, and his next win is just around the corner. He looks well placed in this company, and I suspect he is ready to explode on Wednesday. The inside draw is advantageous, and the 3kg apprentice claim puts him into all winning conversations. Pot at your own peril!

Golden Smile is a model of consistency. The Sea The Stars mare handles all conditions, and her last start victory at Newcastle was effortless. The rising six-year-old deserves her shot at this level, and I expect her to receive the run of the race from a perfect inside draw. In the mix!

Suggested Bet: Swelter @ $3.00

Bendigo Race 5

#1 Rocket Tiger

Rocket Tiger will start the race favourite despite carrying the grandstand. The 4kg apprentice claim will assist the Cluster gelding, and he finds his pet distance here. From barrier five, he will sit in the running line with cover, and if he is presented with his run at the right time, I expect him to prove too good in the shadows. Class runner.

Nation State resumes with an air of expectation. His trials leading into his first-up assignment have been mouthwatering, and the All Too Hard gelding traditionally motors fresh. The current track conditions will suit, and the apprentice’s claim helps his case. If he can find the bunny uncontested during the race’s early stages, he may prove hard to run down.

Kyle will have supporters after a solid campaign to date. The Shooting To Win gelding looks well placed in this company, and he meets easier opposition. His performances have been rock-solid in some serious races, and I suspect his best here would be too good for her his rivals. He tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of the contest.

Suggested Bet: Rocket Tiger @ $4.60

Bendigo Race 7

#4 Narbold

Narbold is ready to win third-up from a spell. Both runs this campaign have been good without threatening, and I suspect the Churchill gelding is ready to sprout wings and explode. The progressive three-year-old strips fitter, and the significant drop-in class puts on hoof on the till. The inside draw is advantageous, and the Chris Waller factor might have the short-priced commodity start in the red. Push the chips in!

Heff can run a drum with even luck in-transit. The Proisir gelding is racing well at present, and he looks suited at the 1500m at this stage of his campaign. Barrier four will ensure a soft trip throughout, and if he sees daylight as they run for the doctor, he can figure in the finish. Over the odds!

Black Storm is knocking on the door. The Caravaggio gelding has finished the bridesmaid more times than Collingwood, and I suspect he has found his right assignment. The perfect inside draw is advantageous; the apprentice claim could prove the winning difference. His recent winning record is the biggest deterrent.

Suggested Bet: Narbold @ $2.40
