Warwick Farm and Sandown Lakeside are the key meetings this Wednesday. With Group 1 features fast approaching and with competitive racing expected at both venues, mid-week action has never looked so good!

Warwick Farm Race 4

#6 Jamakin Money

Jamakin Money comes to the town up and about. Her last start win at Dubbo on top of the speed was braver than Mel Gibson, and she deserves her shot at a city victory on Wednesday. Barrier two will help her plight, and the 3kg apprentice claim could prove the winning difference. The 1100m looks ideal at this stage of her campaign, and if she is left alone on the bunny, this could turn into a cakewalk. She represents great each-way value.

To The Extreme resumes with an air of expectation. Her recent trials have turned heads, and I suspect she will be cherry-ripe for a first-up tilt. The Extreme Choice mare is super versatile despite her age and limited racing experience, and I expect her to get the perfect cart into the race from a middle gate. The early money indicates a forward showing, and she looks well-placed in this company. Acid test!

Russian Snitzel was good without winning fresh. The Russian Revolution mare was far from disgraced, and I suspect her supporters will be buttering up again here. The enigmatic four-year-old strips fitter after her recent outing and traditionally performs well second-up. The sharp class rise and her ability to find one better on race day are among the primary concerns.

Suggested Bet: Jamakin Money @ $8.50

Warwick Farm RACE 5

#4 Impunity

Impunity is a model of consistency. The Dundeel gelding finds a winnable assignment, and I expect him to receive all the favours from a perfect inside draw. The 55.5kg is luxurious, and the current track conditions will suit him to a tee. The step out to 2400m is ideal at this campaign stage, and he has been well-supported since markets opened. Over the odds.

California Grass produced an improved effort at her latest outing. The Al Maher mare savaged the line late, and I suspect she is now ready to produce a peak performance for the preparation. From barrier three she will drift back and find her hooves, and if she can stay in touch with the peloton during the race’s middle stages, she can threaten in the shadows.

O’ziggy is knocking on the door. The Ace High gelding looks dangerous on the quick back-up, and his form this campaign reads incredibly well for this event. Barrier one will allow him to roll forward and pilot the field, and if he is allowed to control the clock throughout, the fat lady may be singing before they run for the doctor. He tends to find one better at the pointy end on race day.

Suggested Bet: Impunity @ $8.00

Sandown Lakeside Race 7

#2 Enxuto

Enxuto looks dangerous on the quick back-up. The Lean Mean Machine gelding was an explosive winner at the track and distance at his latest outing, and he meets a similar field. The enigmatic four-year-old retains the services of the in-form Blake Shinn, and he has been well-supported since acceptance. He has the ability and opportunity to build a picket fence next to his name.

Active Duty is super consistent. The National Defense gelding was game in defeat at his latest outing, and he was an impressive winner two starts back. Barrier one brings him into all winning conversations, and the drop back to a mile could prove a training masterstroke. The big boy should be a rock-hard fit after a lengthy campaign and looks well-placed in this company. His recent winning record is the primary concern.

Call Him Iggy put the writing on the wall at Cranbourne. The Ribchester gelding flew from the clouds, and I suspect he entered most punters’ little black book. The step-out in trip is advantageous, and a perfect inside draw puts one hoof on the till. The allocated weight from the handicapper is the biggest deterrent.

Suggested Bet: Enxuto @ $1.80

Sandown Lakeside Race 8

#5 Written Bligh

Written Bligh was an impressive last-start winner at Mornington. The Written By mare is putting together a consistent preparation to date, and she looks well placed in this company. She is a 1200m specialist, and the inside draw puts one hoof on the till. The 3kg apprentice claim is advantageous, and she looks the likely leader on paper. Hard to toss.

Cheerstothat put her rivals to the sword first-up at Werribee. The All Too Hard mare is building an impressive career record early doors, and she arguably should remain undefeated. The Blake Shinn factor will attract further market support, and she is more than ready for the step out in trip. The car park draw may determine her fate during the first furlong.

Elba is over the odds. The Fastnet Rock mare is racing better than it reads in the bible, and it may pay dividends to forget that she went around at her latest outing. She had genuine excuses, and with an even run in-transit on Wednesday, an improved performance is expected. Barrier four brings her into winning calculations, and the appointment of the inform Ben Melham could prove a game changer. Take on trust.

Suggested Bet: Written Bligh @ $4.00
