Caulfield Race 6

#7 She's Got Pizzazz

She’s Got Pizzazz looks progressive. The home-bred Zoustar filly impressively won her maiden fresh, and I suspect she can continue on her winning way here. The step out to 1200m is advantageous, and she deserves her shot at this level. The Peter Moody and Jamie Kah combination will attract further market support, and I expect her to be savaging the line late. Major player.

Campari Twist is over the odds. The So You Think filly made it back-to-back victories at her latest outing, and she looks well placed in this company. From the middle gate, she can sit in the one-out-one back position, and I suspect she has the fitness edge on the majority of her rivals. If she is presented with her run at the right time, she will loom to win.

Suggested Bet: She’s Got Pizzazz @ $7.00

Caulfield Race 7

#2 Aeliana

Aeliana blew her rivals away at Flemington! The Castelvecchio filly showed a devastating turn of foot, and she put her rivals to the sword before they reached the clock tower. Her debut preparation has been near faultless, and I suspect this race has been a long-range target from the inform Waller camp. If she can stay in touch with the peloton during the race’s middle stages, she can blouse her opponents late. Hard to toss!

Dominetta was luckless late in the Vanity at headquarters. The Zoustar filly arguably had the run of the race throughout. However, she was checked and blocked when the whips were cracking. The mile looks ideal at this stage of her campaign, and the key appointment of Craig Williams could prove the winning difference. Over the odds.

Suggested Bet: Aeliana @ $3.50

Sunsets is coming off a forgive run in the Bendigo Cup. His form prior was ultra-consistent, and I suspect the Dundeel gelding is ready to explode. The drop to 2000m is advantageous, and he looks well placed with a luxurious 53kg. The significant drop-in class could prove a training masterstroke, and with even luck in transit, I expect him to make his presence felt late. He can run a big race at a juicy price.

Arran Bay was a brilliant last-start winner on the first Tuesday in November. The All Too Hard gelding was brave late, and he held off his more fancied rivals in the shadows. The talented six-year-old finds his pet distance and has been well-supported in early betting. The carpark draw and the grandstand weight are among the primary concerns.

Suggested Bet: Sunsets @ $19.00

Caulfield Race 9

#7 Jimmysstar

Jimmysstar is flying this campaign. The Per Incanto gelding has been breaking the clock with his late sizzling sectionals, and he looks poised to taste Group 1 glory on Saturday. His record at 1400m is outrageous, and I suspect this race has been on the radar since it was moved to later part of the spring. Barrier one should allow the big boy a soft run in transit, and if he sees daylight as they run for the doctor, I expect him to fight out the finish. Upside for days!

Charm Stone was only narrowly beaten at her latest outing. The form out of the race has stood up since, and I suspect she is ready to peak third-up from a spell. The step out in trip is advantageous, and the perfect inside draw brings her into all winning calculations. The 52kg could prove decisive, and she has been specked at a decent price since acceptances were finalised. A must for all broader multiples and exotics.

Suggested Bet: Jimmysstar @ $4.00

Newcastle Race 8

#5 Royal Merchant

Royal Merchant looks a great each way prospect. The Merchant Navy mare has raced well without winning this campaign, and the 1300m is ideal at this stage of her preparation. The inside draw is advantageous, and the 54.5kg puts one hoof on the till. The Ciaron Maher factor must be respected, and I am expecting a peak run on Saturday at beautiful Broadmeadow.

Phearson can a run a drum at the cricket-score odds. The Exosphere gelding has had a luckless campaign to date, and I suspect the camp are praying for a change in fortune. Barrier one should ensure a soft trip in transit, and the big boy finds his pet distance. If the talented seven-year-old gets clear air as they charge past the Exchange Hotel, he can cause the biggest boilover since Polly left the kettle on.

Suggested Bet: Royal Merchant @ $10.00

Newcastle Race 9

#2 Herman Hesse

Herman Hesse has had an impressive campaign to date. The form has stood up around him the entire spring, and he looks extremely hard to beat dropping sharply in grade. The Frankel gelding should be rock-hard fit after a lengthy preparation, and I suspect he will get a perfect cart into the race from a middle draw. Watch for him late!

Wyclif is knocking on the door. The Archipenko gelding has finished in the bridesmaid position four times this campaign, and he finds a winnable assignment here. He has been brave and game in defeat time and again, and he deserves to put another victory on the board. He will be thereabouts again.

Suggested Bet: Herman Hesse @ $8.50
