Canterbury Park and Sandown Hillside are the feature meetings this Wednesday. With spring in full swing, find out who our experts are expecting to take home the cash!

Sandown Hillside Race 6

#12 Treasurethe Moment

Treasurethe Moment looks progressive. The Alabama Express filly turned heads during her debut campaign, and she resumes with an air of expectation. A recent barrier trial at Cranbourne will have her cherry ripe for a first-up tilt, and she has been well supported since markets opened. The carpark draw is the primary concern.

Happy Link will have supporters after producing a dominant second-up victory at Geelong. The Toronado mare put her rivals to the sword a long way from home, and she put the writing on the wall for a massive spring campaign. The step out in the distance is advantageous; she looks well-placed in this company. In the mix.

She’s Pretty Rich is knocking on the door. The Written Tycoon mare has been racing well without winning, and I suspect her next victory is just around the corner. The talented five-year-old should be rock-hard fit at this stage of her preparation, and the 2kg apprentice claim could prove a training masterstroke. Her recent winning record is the biggest deterrent.

Suggested Bet: Treasurethe Moment @ $4.00

Sandown Hillside RACE 7

#15 Sunset Dreaming

Sunset Dreaming looked a good thing beat at her latest outing. The Impending mare savaged the line late, and she was only beaten by the camera. The extra 100m is advantageous, and she meets a similar field. The 55.5kg is a luxury, and I suspect her quote will reduce significantly before the barriers open. She needs to put another victory on the board.

Angry Skies is a model of consistency. The Toronado gelding got the job done two starts back at Ballarat, and he was game in defeat at his latest outing in the city of churches. The drop back to 1400m will play into his favour, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his rivals. The length of his campaign is the primary concern.

Step Aside has been racing well without winning. The Redwood gelding has been competitive in some hot-form races, and his best performance here could be fences and panels better than his rivals. The Blake Shinn and Chris Waller combination must be respected, and he has been heavily supported since acceptances were released. His winning record is the biggest deterrent.

Suggested Bet: Sunset Dreaming @ $3.50

Canterbury Park Race 6

#7 Ravenclaw

Ravenclaw resumes after a string of impressive barrier trials. The Harry Angel gelding finds his pet distance fresh, and I suspect he is fully wound up for a first-up tilt. The James McDonald booking speaks volumes, and he looks well placed at the Benchmark 72 level. From the wide gate, he will drift back and find his hooves, and if he can stay in touch with the peloton during the race’s middle stages, I expect him to figure in the finish.

Fire Star is ready to win. The Deep Field gelding is on the quick back-up, and he meets a similar line-up. The step out in trip is advantageous, and I suspect he is ready to produce a peak performance for the preparation. His ability to find one or two better on race day is a recurring issue.

Eye Pea Oh has been smashed in early betting. The Capitalist mare is ideally drawn in barrier four, and her record at the distance must be respected. The consistent six-year-old doesn’t know how to run a bad race and looks well-placed in this company. The Freedman camp have an opinion on the bonny mare, and I suspect she can springboard to Saturday class with a win here. Hard to toss.

Suggested Bet: Ravenclaw @ $8.00

Canterbury Park Race 7

#6 Seascape

Seascape has one hoof on the till. The I Am Invincible filly has made an impressive and determined start to her career, and I suspect she still has plenty of improvement to come for the current preparation. The barrier one draw looks ominous, and the flashy three-year-old may start odds-on if the flood of early money continues. The step out in trip plays into her favour, and I expect her to prove too strong late with even luck in-transit. Push the chips in!

Countyourblessings will have supporters after producing a devastating turn of foot late to score first-up. The 3kg apprentice claim is advantageous, and he strips fitter after his recent heroics. His record at the track and distance must be respected, and he meets easier opposition. His racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Terrestar resumes after a successful autumn campaign. The Zoustar mare has trialed well leading into this event, and the talented commodity looks well placed in this company. She is a winner at the track previously, and I suspect she is in for a succesful and fruitful spring preparation. I would prefer to support her over further and deeper into her spell.

Suggested Bet: Seascape @ $3.00
