Kensington and Sandown Lakeside are the feature meetings this Wednesday. With the new racing season off to a flyer and spring in the air, find out who our experts expect to take home the cash!

Kensington Race 5

#8 The Replicant

The Replicant looks poised to strike. The Tivaci gelding was game in defeat at his latest outing, and the step out in distance is ideal at this stage of his preparation. He looks dangerous jumping from the perfect inside draw, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his rivals. His recent winning record is the primary concern.

Serene Nic will have supporters after producing a stunning victory at Warwick Farm. The Nicconi mare is currently racing ultra-consistent and looks well-placed in this company. The current track conditions are advantageous, and I suspect her quote will shorten if the rain continues to fall in Sydney town. The carpark draw is the biggest deterrent.

Belleistic Kids is knocking on the door. All runs of this preparation have been good without threatening, and the 2kg apprentice claim brings The Brothers War gelding into all winning conversations. Barrier two should ensure a perfect trip in transit; if he can find extra gear when required, he can fight out the finish. The sharp class rise may be his undoing.

Suggested Bet: The Replicant @ $3.10

Kensington RACE 7

#6 Lonrioli

Lonrioli savaged the line at her latest outing. The Lonhro mare will appreciate the step out in distance, and I suspect she has been trained to explode in this third-up assignment. From barrier three, the lightly raced five-year-old can occupy the box seat throughout, and if the inform Nash Rawiller can find the gaps when the whips are cracking, I expect her to prove too strong late.

Equipage is flying at present. The Godolphin mare is progressing through her grades successful at present, and this event shouldn’t hold any fears. The enigmatic four-year-old will drift back from awkward draw, and if she can stay in touch with the peloton throughout, I expect her to make her presence felt in the shadows.

Alvina’s Luck is too consistent to pot. The Zoustar mare has only missed the drum twice during her nine-start career and looks well placed in this company. The step out in distance is advantageous, and I suspect the Ron Quinton trained five-year-old does her best racing with some give in the ground.  She looks great each-way value.

Suggested Bet: Lonrioli @ $5.50

Sandown Lakeside Race 6

#5 Honor Galore

Honor Galore is a speed machine. The Spirit Of Boom mare is undefeated first-up, and she steps out to 1200m for the first time fresh. Her best form reads incredibly well for this event, and there has been a flood of early money for the talented four-year-old. Her racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Walk Of Fame was game in defeat at her latest outing. The Sacred Falls mare looked home and hosed, and it was a tough watch late for favourite punters. Her record at the distance must be respected, and I suspect she will pilot the field with a clean break. The bold front runner will give another good sight as they run for the doctor!

Lady Dumont can run well at cricket score odds. The Astern mare is chasing four consecutive wins, and she deserves her shot at this level on Wednesday. The 3kg apprentice claim brings her into all winning conversations, and barrier two looks ominous. Her fate may be decided during the first furlong.

Suggested Bet: Honor Galore @ $3.50

Sandown Lakeside Race 7

#1 Starianne

Starianne is coming off a forgive run. The Sebring mare was too bad to be true second-up, and her form prior was superior to her rivals. Barrier four will allow her an economical run throughout, and if Mark the money man Zahra can get the big girl off the dulex as they charge for home, I expect her to bounce back with a boom!

Sophia’s Magic is over the odds. The Charm Spirit mare doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and I suspect her next victory is just around the corner. The 1500m is in her wheelhouse, and if the favourite has traffic issue or an off-day, she can cause the biggest boil-over since Polly left the kettle on.

Royal Invader will start favourite after an impressive last start victory at Sandown. The Invader mare looks dangerous on the quick back-up, and the current track conditions play into her favour. From barrier twelve, she will drift back and find her hooves, and if she can reproduce her finishing sprint from last week, I suspect she will make her presence felt late again. Acid test!

Suggested Bet: Starianne @ $6.00
