Warwick Farm and Sale are the feature meetings this Wednesday. With competitive and exciting racing expected at both venues, including the Listed Civic Stakes at ‘The Farm’, find out below who our experts are expecting to take home the cash!

Warwick Farm Race 6

#1 COOL JAKEY

Cool Jakey can bounce back after a disappointing first-up performance. The Pierro gelding is undefeated second-up, and he finds his pet distance here. The current track conditions will suit, and he looks well placed in this company. From barrier one, he can roll forward and pilot the field, and if he can cheat the clock throughout, he may prove hard to run down. Over the odds!

Need Some Luck will have supporters after recording a stylish victory at his latest outing. The Rubick colt quickly put his rivals to the sword, and I expect him to go through his grades successfully during the winter months. The wet track and horrendous barrier draw are among the primary concerns.

Kerguelen will start a short-priced favourite after a dominant display on debut. The Lonhro gelding was fences and panels better than his rivals, and the flood of early money indicates a repeat performance could be on the cards. The class rise and carpark draw are his biggest obstacles.

Suggested Bet: Cool Jakey @ $19.00

Warwick Farm RACE 7

#14 ESTADIO MESTALLA

Estadio Mestalla is poised to strike third-up from a spell. The Galileo Gold gelding has been ultra-impressive in both outings this preparation, and the 1400m looks ideal at this stage of his preparation. His versatility is his strongest asset, and Tyler Schiller is building a great relationship with the big boy. He currently represents great each-way value, and I suspect his quote will shorten significantly before the barriers open on Wednesday. Hard to toss!

Tamerlane is the class runner of the field. The Golden Horn gelding has rubbed shoulders with some serious and proven gallopers, and he looks ideally placed dropping back to Listed level. His record at the trip is outrageous, and he traditionally races well second-up from a spell. Barrier one is advantageous, and the James McDonald factor must be respected. Happy to take him on at the price.

Excelladus is back in form. The So You Think gelding was a brilliant last-start winner at Randwick, and he deserves his shot at this level. The gritty six-year-old loves wet tracks and is a 1400m specialist. His racing pattern and style will always require an element of luck and good fortune.

Suggested Bet: Estadio Mestalla @ $6.00

Sale Race 6

#5 Accending

Accending was good without winning first-up at Mornington. The Street Boss filly was no match for the winner, and she was game in defeat. The 2kg apprentice claim is advantageous, and she looks perfectly drawn in a middle gate. The 1000m looks to be her jam, and if she has taken any benefit at all from her recent outing, she is the one to beat. Her best performance here back at country level could produce a dominant victory.

Piastri has turned heads recently at the trials leading into this event. The Choisir gelding hasn’t produced anything to write home about first-up previously, and he has been a drifter in early betting. The Ciaron Maher factor must be respected, and the 3kg apprentice claim could prove a training masterstroke. Take on trust.

Flying Ace was good without threatening first-up at Pakenham. The Flying Artie gelding meets a similar field, and he looks dangerous jumping from a perfect inside draw. He strips fitter after his recent outing and is a must for all broader multiples and exotics.

Suggested Bet: Accending @ $4.80

Sale Race 7

#12 Miss Winslet

Miss Winslet was a brilliant winner first-up at Swan Hill. The Shamus Award filly made a mess of the field, and she put the writing on the wall for a big campaign ahead. She strips fitter, and I suspect the six-furlongs is her best trip. The middle gate will provide Ben Allen with plenty of options in transit, and with even luck throughout, I expect her to figure in the finish.

Exceed The Dream will start as a favourite after producing a string of impressive barrier trials. The Exceed And Excel mare looks well suited in this company, and her best form reads incredibly well for this event. The camp is training winners for fun, and she seems poised to strike from the perfect inside draw. Her recent winning record is the primary concern.

Star Honour has been specked at a price. The Astern mare has been good this campaign without threatening and meets easier opposition here. I suspect she has been trained to explode third-up from a spell, and her record at the journey looks ominous. It may pay dividends to watch for any further market support. Keep safe!

Suggested Bet: Miss Winslet @ $6.50
