The NBA playoffs continue this Saturday as Atlanta, New York and Minnesota take up hosting duties for the first time in the series.
BetDeluxe breaks down all three matches and the likelihood of the home sides delivering for their fans.
Hawks vs. Celtics
22nd April 9:00am
Atlanta will be hoping to hit the playoffs scoreboard when they host the Celtics at State Farm Arena in Game 3.
Currently trailing 0-2 from the first two games, the Hawks have failed to threaten Boston with two 13-point losses to start the series. Dejounte Murray (26-6-6) and Trae Young’s 24 points led the charge for the Hawks on Wednesday, but they didn’t get enough out of either big man Clint Capela or John Collins.
The Celtics, who are currently $1.48 to go 3/3, were well serviced by Jayson Tatum’s 29 points and 10 rebounds, and Derrick White’s 26 and seven boards.
While the Hawks will get the lift required from the home crowd, the Celtics have too many contributors to slow down.
Suggested Bet: Same Game Multi
- Leg 1: Celtics to win
- Leg 2: T. Young over 24.5 points
- Leg 3: J. Tatum over 8.5 rebounds
- Leg 4: D. White over 15.5 points
- Total: $7
Knicks vs. Cavaliers
22nd April 10:30AM
After giving up the series’ first game, the Cavaliers hit back in Game 2 with a barnstorming 107-90 victory at home.
Leading by 20 points at half-time, the Cavs dominated every major statistical category, shooting 49% from the field and 42% from beyond the arc. Darius Garland top-scored with 32 points, while Donovan Mitchell finished with 17 and 13 assists.
Julius Randle once again led the way for the Knicks with 22 points and eight boards, alongside Jalen Brunson’s 20 points, five boards and six assists. Josh Hart played 27 minutes but was clearly hampered by his ankle sprain, and the Knicks will be hoping he’ll be at full strength for their first home fixture.
Cleveland could not win either of their two games at Madison Square Garden this season, making the $1.77 on offer for the Knicks more than fair.
Suggested Bet: Knicks to win @ $1.77
Timberwolves vs. Nuggets
22nd April 11:30AM
Who doubted the Denver Nuggets? Certainly not us.
The Western Conference No. 1 seeds have kick-started their playoff series against the Wolves in style, following up a 29-point victory with a 122-113 win in Game 2. They’re currently quoted at $1.70 in this one, and it’s difficult imagining them losing a game en route to the second round.
Jamal Murray shot the lights out with a team-high 40 on Thursday, with Serbian superstar, Nikola Jokic, adding 27 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
Anthony Edwards did his utmost for the Wolves with 41 points of his own, while five of his teammates also hit double figures. With just 21 total points from the first two playoff games, Karl Anthony-Towns’ scoring production is down 50% so far this series, clearly one aspect of the Wolves’ game that needs to lift.
Suggested Bet: Nuggets to win @ $1.70
