Tips, previews and all you need for every Round Eight game, including two incredible Anzac Day clashes.

The Anzac Weekend of NRL is here & the action is heating up with two Tuesday clashes and a cracker between the Rabbitohs and Panthers.

BetDeluxe takes a look at every game and delivers its best bets.

game of the week: Rabbitohs vs. Panthers

20th April 7:50pm

This isn’t the tightest match-up in the market, but it’s clearly the game that will pull the most eyeballs with South Sydney’s return to form and Penrith’s continual class on show.

The Rabbitohs, who started the year with two wins from their first five matches, have gone on a tear over the last two weeks with comprehensive victories over the Dolphins (22) and the Bulldogs (34). Campbell Graham has led the way from a scoring perspective with five consecutive tries, while Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker look frightening in attack.

The Panthers will enter with an air of confidence, given their recent stranglehold over the Bunnies. However, they were made to work against the Knights over the weekend, with Nathan Cleary’s class the deciding factor in their golden point win. Scott Sorensen returns to the starting side in place of the injured Liam Martin, but it will do little to dent the bravado of the second-placed juggernaut.

Suggested Bet: Same Game Multi

  • Leg 1: Souths (+5.5)
  • Leg 2: Over 38.5 total points
  • Leg 3: A. Johnston anytime try scorer
  • Leg 4: B. To’o anytime try scorer
  • Total: $11

Eels vs. Broncos

21st April 8:00pm

The Broncos are still operating on a very different level from all their opponents, bouncing back from their first loss with an impressive 43-26 win over the Titans. Walsh, Reynolds, Haas and the returning Oates should have few issues against the Eels.

Suggested Bet: Brisbane to win @ $1.65

Bulldogs vs. Sharks

22nd April 5:30pm

Two teams entering a match at wildly different ends of the form spectrum. The Sharks were outstanding in their clash with the Roosters, while the injury-ravaged Bulldogs fell to the Eels in a similar fashion to the thumping they received from the Bunnies. With 11 players currently sidelined, they will struggle to compete.

Suggested Bet: Cronulla 1-12 @ $3.40

Cowboys vs Knights

22nd April 7:35PM

What’s going on at the Cowboys? The most disappointing side of the season to date suffered their fifth loss of the season, with Jason Taumalolo’s knee injury the cherry on top. The Knights put in their best performance against the Panthers, and with Kalyn Ponga returning from injury, things are looking far more positive than their opponents.

Suggested Bet: G. Marzhew anytime try scorer @ $2.03

Dolphins vs. Titans

23rd April 2:00PM

The Dolphins need to build some sort of home-ground advantage after going down in three of their last four games, including two at home. Felise Kaufusi returns from a four-game suspension, but with Jojo Fifita back for the Titans, they won’t go lying down after scoring 26 against the Broncos.

Suggested Bet: Dolphins to win @ $1.75

Tigers vs. Sea Eagles

23rd April 4:05PM

The Sea Eagles returned to form in a big way against the Storm, with Daly Cherry-Evans and Tom Trbojevic turning it on for Anthony Siebold’s men. Josh Schuster and Reuben Garrick are both back for this one, making it more difficult for the winless Tigers. A week off will help, but it might not be enough.

Suggested Bet: R. Garrick anytime try scorer @ $1.65

Roosters vs. Dragons

25th April 4:05PM

The Roosters are short in the market, but it’s not because of their recent form after consecutive losses to the Sharks and the Storm. They’ve dropped to the ninth spot on the ladder. There’s been a shuffling of positions between Joey Manu, Luke Keary and the omission of Sam Walker, with Trent Robinson understanding the importance of staying ahead of the win/loss ledger. The Dragons have had two tight losses and shouldn’t be underestimated.

Suggested Bet: Roosters 1-12 @ $3.10

Storm vs. Warriors

25th April 7:00PM

The second Anzac Day clash and just as intriguing as the battle between the Roosters and Dragons. Storm was outmatched in a brutal clash with the Sea Eagles but will be buoyed by the return of Nick Meaney and Nelson Asofa-Solomona. The Warriors returned to the winner’s stall against the Cowboys and will only strengthen with Marata Niukore’s inclusion.

Suggested Bet: Warriors (+12.5) @ $1.85
