The Group 3 Eskimo Prince is the feature event this Saturday at Randwick. With the stars starting to return in preparation for the autumn features, who will stand out on the competitive ten-race program?

Randwick Race 7

#1 Remarque

Remarque was brilliant last preparation. He put two wins together before being luckless in a hot Group 3 event. His recent trial will have him cherry ripe for this event, and his fresh record speaks for itself. From barrier five I hope he drifts back and has one last crack at them. The 62kg is a major concern.

Kote will run well here fresh after a successful campaign. This does look like his most challenging test to date, but the gelding by Choisir has plenty of upside. If the heavens open up, his price will evaporate, and I expect him to have a career-defining preparation regardless of the result on Saturday.

Key Largo looks over the odds. If there is a hot tempo up front, I expect him to charge home late at the juicy odds. He got too far back last start, and with even luck, in transit, he can figure here.

Suggested Bet: Remarque @ $6.50

Randwick RACE 8

#3 Aft Cabin

The talented Aft Cabin looks to have a mortgage on the day’s feature race. After a stunning debut preparation, he will be lucky to start in the black. The one-time favourite for the Caulfield Guineas won a recent barrier trial effortlessly, and if he is 100% sound after his setup back, he will be winning here. The James Mcdonald and James Cummings combination must be respected, and from barrier eight, the colt by Astern is versatile enough to handle the cards he is dealt.

Zou Tiger will have supporters, and he looks like an obvious danger to the favourite. He was brilliant in The Golden Rose, and his trials leading into this event have been ultra-impressive. He has plenty of upsides, and he must be respected here.

Brosnan can run well here from an inside draw. He had a luckless spring campaign and can run a drum with the right run. His trials have been good, and he isn’t the worst $50 chance going around on Saturday.

Suggested Bet: Aft Cabin @ $2.00

Randwick Race 9

#1 Star Sparks

Star Sparks can win after an impressive start to his campaign. He did everything but win second-up, and I expect him to peak third-up from a spell on Saturday. He is very consistent, and with even luck, he will be in the finish again. The allocated weight and wide draw are the major concerns.

Kettle Hil will start favourite after another teasing run. He is starting to become expensive to follow for punters, and this may be his last chance before he goes into the sack file. The 1800m looks advantageous, and I expect him to get the run of the race from barrier one.

Nothinsweetaboutme is over the odds after producing three consistent runs this preparation. She always races well at Randwick and will make her own luck on top of the speed. If she can pinch some cheap sectionals in transit, she may cause a boilover at a good price.

Suggested Bet: Star Sparks @ $5.50

Randwick Race 10

#10 Diamond Dealer

Diamond Dealer can make it a hat trick of wins in the lucky last. I expect her to jump, cross, lead, and win from the tricky barrier! After the apprentice claim, she looks exceptionally well weighted for this event, and I can’t wait to see her lead them into the home straight.

Sacrimony is racing well without winning. He can look the winner, however, he always finds one better in the shadows of the post. He seems suited for this grade, and a well-deserved win isn’t far away.

Lord Markel can run well at double-figure odds. He usually runs well fresh, and his second to Uncommon James in a recent barrier trial reads well for this. If he is 100% wound up, he will be thereabouts.

Suggested Bet: Diamond Dealer @ $6.50
